So after reviewing what I could on upcoming enhancements to the game I came to a realization.....Druid is really the last of the primary classes that is missing. With Pre's and such we are seeing what will likely be the end of new classes. You think about it & we are at the end of the major players with Druid. We have the Arcane casters Wizard and his close cousin the Sorc. Bard fills a niche. Rogue already has the 3 paths that really just specialize a rogue without changing its core. Fighter and its bastard children Ranger & Barb. Cleric and the holy stepchild the Paladin round out the divine casters. Monk is the latest and Druid will be soon. What could possibly be next?
Is there even a point in reviewing what classes could be next? I mean really other than some spot or situationally useful ideas (that could easily be added as a Pre instead of seperate class) I think we may be at a spot where "everything" is really covered.
Now after a little research and old reading I realized there may be room for 2 more (1 classic, 1 new) Artificer (if done "correctly") and a Cavalier (if you don't know it would be the equivilent of a paladin for bards, a fighter class with some song/spell ability only instead of holy divine power would be the song/arcane power).
What do you think; would DDO benefit from add'l classes or do you think druid should be the last? If not what do you think could be added (not just the fact you want 293849038042 options for classes).
