yes you can... my sorc uses a cursespewing xbow of disruption sometimes... and it works quite well... the only downside is the low DC's but with CC weapons hitting much faster than an xbow... it's more likely they'll roll the 1 on at least one of the saves... which either kills them outright, or makes the disruption DC that much easier to fail.
