Port number and Destination IP address

I have a Linksys gamer lounge cable modem router. Supposedly it can prioritize traffic. When someone in the house downloads, the connectivity to DDO slows to a crawl. What is the port number DDO uses, and the destination IP?

I saw a post some where by a Tech. but I am having problem finding it atm.

But i did find this so far for Chat

The following ports must be opened: 9000-9013 UDP and 80 UDP

Well the first thing, I'd recommend as a test, is try bypassing the router and then play on one computer and see if you disconnect. If you do not then you know its a router config issue. Have you tried going to www.portforward.com and checking their suggested settings for your router? (Or the manufacturers website?)


As far as changing those ports it means in the userpreferences.ini file you change the line "userspecifiedport=xxxx" to a different value between 9000 and 9018 (9003 and 9005 are usually good to try) for each computer and try playing again.

So, if you into your userpreferences.ini file and change the value between 9000 and 9018 and then you go into your router and give DDO traffic the same port number it should help.
