    Default 53 gold coins cashed in

    On Gold Coin 43 cashed in I received a Brooch of Shielding, for 50 Magic Missiles to be absorbed, then it crumbles to dust. Whee......

    Received in House P.

    From what I have heard, this could be the worst surprise Festivult!! item given out. Others get +4 tomes, +3 tomes, SunBlades, Dwarven Throwers, 100K platinum, +5 Green Steel Items. Oh well. Can I have some cheese to, please?

    Irian - 15 cakes - 28.30%
    Xyzzy - 13 cakes - 24.53%
    Fernia - 10 cakes - 18.87%
    Risia - 14 cakes - 26.42%

    Thread of the week!

    On a serious note: You didn't think that you could just turn in 50 coins and get a +4 tome did you? There has been one +4 tome from the Jester (to my knowledge.) Any idea how many coins have been turned in? This isn't "Everyone wins a trophy day."

    someone reported getting 100k plat...? Thats odd, i was given 100k plat xmas eve or day buy what i thought was a random player just being generous...? Could he have been a festivult jester in disguise? Just curious as ive read about the tomes, blade and the supposed gs item.

    Default My suspicions on Gold Coins

    See Boldrin's post below.

    He has turned in over 600 coins and received two dwarven throwers,(i found mine in quest in Three Barrel Cove) and brooches of shielding. Now, I have one of those. Whee.

    An Aside, I had no idea what I was going to get. I was hoping to get something good, but with the luck that I have on getting treasure in this game, I knew my odds were better of meeting a beautiful women online, that really wants to see me, than getting one of these rare tomes.

    Oh, I have never met a beautiful woman, an ugly woman, any woman, or even a man from online. (And I do not plan on it.)

    I personally have turned in over 600. got 2 dwarven throwers and 3 brooches of shielding. Spent 6 million plat so far, and I'm sure I'll spend more before it's over, lol. But hey it's like buying scratchoff tickets, addicting.

    It was also confirmed by Turbine employees that the tomes are in the loot table, but are extremely rare

    Personally saw the +4 tome in the trade window. Didn't believe him till i saw it for myself. The person who pulled it is a guildie of mine. Plus, the devs did comment on it.

    i have seen the +4 wisdom tome in a trade window. it does exist, and if you ask on the ghallanda server there are probably a bunch of people that have seen it the same way i have
