    Default Dragon Touched Armor Issue

Just a warning to all the high AC types out there.

I aquired my Dragon touched Robes which have a AC of 6 and +5 Protection bonus, when I tried to bump it up by placing an alchemical Dodge bonus on it I was rewarded with the protective +5 quality being made inactive, there by ruining my armor.

Of course, +Oldac+, the in-game rep on Argo would not help by replacing the armor because of this bug. Don't know why I tried, I have never been successful getting them to do much of anything except once respawning Delera when she bugged out.

I posted the bug report and we'll see what happens, I won't hold my breath.

Just a warning to those who have the same intentions.

White dragon armor only has protection +4 on it. Also how do you know the ritual turned off the protection aspect of the armor?

Not white dragon armor, dragontouched, if he lost 4 ac from putting the ritual on it that would suggest losing the +5 prot.

That's correct. I've tested it and lost the +5 Protection aspect of it. White Dragon Armor is similar but different from the Dragon Touched armor given in the Reaver's Refuge.

    Default You MIGHT be mistaken

Are you talking about the +5 prot from upgrading the armor with a tempest rune? Because if you are reading the item decription and assuming that you get a +5 prot bonus on top of the +6 ac bonus without adding a tempest upgrade, you are mistaken. The item description on the outfit and robes is incorrect. There is no additional +5 bonus on the armor prior to upgrading it with a tempest rune. Hope this helps.

I'm sorry you are incorrect. There is a +5 inherent dragon touched bonus! I would post a pic but don't have a link to it yet.

AC6 +5 (+5 Protection is a Tempest rune upgrade in addition to the inherent bonus)

It was there before I did the alchemical ritual to put the +1 Dodge bonus on the robes and it was noticeably absent when I completed the ritual. I have investigated further with others who took the Dragon touched outfit and their outfits work as intended with the +1 dodge and +5 inherent armor bonus in place. It's kinda like +5 Mithral Breastplate without the Dex restriction.

If I am wrong and the Dragon Touched robe and outfit was simply AC6 it would not be high level content and would not be sought and painfully garnered after through the completion of these quests. There is absolutely no way I would go through the pain of the Kolbold and Hunter to gain an AC6 Robe with the "chance" of gaining +5 protection. I would simply go after white scales and make the White Dragon robe and carry a +5 protection item, it looks allot better.

I want to apologize to Turbine...

I am wrong. After grinding for another set of armor, the outfit. I rechecked everything and there is no inherent +5 bonus that accommodates the AC6. I don't know what I saw originally but the outfit confirmed what others have said on this thread. I only wish I could have received an answer before this and I could have saved a grind.

I'm guessing I left a protection ring on or something. The verbage on the armor is very misleading.

In my opinion if you really want this armor and toying with the random enhancements it may be worth it. For my, White Dragon Scale and Icy Rainments are just as good and somewhat easier to get. That is until after the "great nerf" ruins all the split monk builds out there.
