Can't log in

I've tried off and on all day long to get logged in. I connect fine but when log in screen goes to next step "Examine Programs" all I get is the little flashing diamond and Status is stuck at "Waiting". Any help would be much appreciated. I'm basically computer ******** also so if anyone has a fix use small words :P

Three questions.

1. Windows XP or Windows Vista? Easiest way to find out is to click on your start button and right-click on the "my computer" or "computer" listing in the right-hand column of the menu that pops up, then choose "properties" and read the first page that comes up. Somewhere near the top it'll tell you which version of windows and what service pack you're using.

2. When did you last play DDO? Day before yesterday, last week sometime, before the holidays, or did you stop playing for a couple of months and just renew your subscription?

3. What day does your computer think it is? I'm not certain it'll work exactly the same on a vista machine, but on my xp computer, I can right click on the clock at the bottom right of my screen and choose "adjust date/time" and then I can see the interface to change the date or time. If your computer thinks it is last year (or ten years ago, as might happen if your cmos battery died), that might cause your problem.

Thx for the reply ... day/time is correct. I'm running Vista and was just able to log in the day before. I just went in and system restored to 2 days prior to this problem and it fixed it. Dunno *** happened, but it's working OK now.

I didnt see this thread til now i commented in another one ...i got same problem...as fine day before and I'm online every day, no settings have changed...so going to try restore now ty
