Let me apologize in advance: if you have questions about the inversion of Romantic tropes in the poetry of Elizabeth Bishop or the post-feminist panopticism of gross Wal-Mart tween lit, I'm totally your guy. But I know squat about computers. So if this is a stupid question, be kind and give me a patronizing answer. Feel free to mock.
My computer, seemingly of its own accord, as I gave it no approval to do so, decided recently to activate something called Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver. Don't know what this is or why my computer is suddenly using it (or even where it came from). And I wouldn't really care much, except that it's messed up my gameplay.
When I open DDO, I can hear it but not see it. The regular desktop is still visible, but I can't do anything to it. I just hear music.
After playing around a bit, I discovered that if I go back to the desktop and restore the game screen, the animation to show a window opening (I'm sure there's a simple name for that, but I don't know it) shoots way off to the right, which I assume means the game is opening way over there, offscreen. How do I get it back onscreen?
I did check to see if somehow my settings had been switched to dual-monitor mode, and they have not. Can someone help out a poor DDO-loving simpleton before he weeps from withdrawal?
