Mr.intima Tank

This is a build I have at level8 atm and would like to get some feed back before I go further with it.

Lawfulgood -human

I am trying to get a grasp of what the MAX intimadate is atm,
For my build I can hit a 72 ish.
19 Base (SKill points)
15 Item
7 Feat
4 Fighter AP line
4 Human AP ling
8 cha mod
6 shroud cha skills item
2 Head of GF
4 GH
4 Bard song
=73 and then there are Human skill boosts and etc, to get it temp. higher.

Am I missing somthing that would enable me to get it high besides a higher cha?

The Inspire Heroics is the AC song anyway if I remember correctly. You can get a +2 bonus from a Bard that will stack from the Inspire Compotence that will stack though.

Also for the OP...you can gain 1 more intimidate by not taking the dragon marks and taking Skill Focus intimidate & Bullheaded for a total of +5 instead of dragon marks for a total of +4.

i hope this is just a work of theoretical max, as its completely pointless in game unless you somehow get a build made like this to 70-80 AC, with some sort of DPS option.

I am not sure which guild you are in or what server but in mine we do raids on elite...VoD,Hound,Abbot,shroud,etc...

you need a 72 Intimadate for VoD on elite and its a walk in the park with an intima tank.

As to me not poasting my AC, I know that I cant hit a 74+ in a raid setting and I do not post my stats and etc because I feel that each build should be different so I dont want someone copyin my builds cause they cant make their own...my opnion anyway.

An intimitank is someone who has high enough intimidate to grab the aggro of the more dangerous monsters in a quest (red and purple named monsters and their minions) and enough AC (usually), or damage reduction (sometimes) to be able to handle all the incoming aggro.

Groups like to have them for a few reasons. First, there are some quests, like The Hound, that require the herding of monsters to/in a specific area, which an intimitank can do through intimidating them and staying in that spot, or leading them there.

Second, intimitanks make quests easier by keeping damage away from the squishier party members, which in turn translates into a few benefits for the group: healers have an easier time doing their jobs because they need target only one member of the group, rather than have to worry about everyone equally, healers have an easier time because party members are less likely to die, and the chance of success goes up, because the characters putting out DPS or CC or healing aren't being targeted as much, and can go about doing their jobs unmolested.

Third, an intimitank is something of a safety net: if everything turns sideways, an intimitank can gather up aggro and shield block (taking less damage himself) allowing everyone else to raise, rebuff and otherwise recover from a potentially very bad situation.

For specific quests:

In the Hound, such a tank keeps the small dogs in the middle for easy charming later, and (used to) be able to keep the big dog in the center via intimidate as well, and later was able to keep aggro off of the dogs.

In VoD, an intimitank can either keep the boss from jumping all over the quest, or can grab the aggro of the "trash mobs" allowing the rest of the party to focus on a single monster at a time at relatively low risk, saving SP and time.

at current he only has twf feat for some dps, but with sufficient shroud runs, he should be able to get +3 dex tome which will allow him to get itwf and gtwf. when that time comes, there will be 1 week of feat respec. unfortunately i cannot get the planner to reflect this hence i threw in the +3 tome at L13 to fill up the feats

ya but they will be fleshed out using boots on innocence/reaver head/DT armor. likely to make a concordant opposition item for him too

saves will look something like 14/8/6 -> 19/13/11 (+5 resist) > 21/15/13 (luck) > 24/19/16 (+6 stat items) > 28/21/20 (GH) > 33/26/25 (HV)

i may also swop out the stunning blow for iron will for +2 to will

The Sentinel Marks take 3 feats: Least Mark, Lesser Mark, and Greater Mark to be allowed to get a total of +4 intimidate for a cost of 3 feats. My point was you could take Bullheaded and Skill focus and get a total of +5 intimidate. As far as I know there isn't any base bonus to intimidate. If there is one I would like to know as I have a human intimi-tank too!

So your more than willing to accept help regarding your Intim from people, but If you help anyone else its Copying?

Thats really low budget..... I was going topoint out the multiple mistakes in your numbers so far, but I wouldnt want you copying....

To me the best part of this game is leveling up new toons, that I have created, not taking from someone elses forum postings. So by me posting up my intimadate you could say tha tI am helping people out by giving them PART of a build...as to the rest your on your own

I'm pretty sure the current numbers on vod are norm 59=55+1, hard 61=57+1, I haven't done elite since the new mod since Suul has been working out alot lately and I think he is sprung on some kinda diet pill, pretty figity. My numbers are based on my 59intim, inwhich I do not fail on a 1 on norm, and I do on hard, this is also assuming +2 increase with diff setting.

Goin the other way and assuming that an even mod from your skill is the correct way to judge would mean norm would be 58=54+1= norm no fail, 60=56+1= hard no fail, curious if any peeps with intim 57-58 have imput?

for cha I would say an 8 is impressive on a mostly ftr, specially since a 7 is abit easier to hit on human, I have 6 on Hitit but he is a dwarf. somewhere around 5-8 is the goal.

Although not a playable character, theoretically a 6 pally splashed with 10 fighter with charisma as the level upgrades would have the same charisma as a sorc. 18 + 3 feat + 1 human feat + 4 levels + 3 tome + + 2 exceptional charisma + 6 item =36 or a +14 to intimidate. You would lose intimidate IV, and your offense would be just a rumor, but that is also true of many of the sword and board builds I've seen recently.
