You would have to wait till level 21 to be epic to take the feat.

IIRC the feat is cleverly called "Extra Rings". From what I can find, requirements are Forge Ring feat and caster level 12. It seems to be from the Eberron Source Book.

technically that's an artificer bonus feat, allows 2 extra rings.

the feat Akla is talking about only allows one more ring, and can be taken by non-artificers.

There is also a necklace (artifact) of a dead hand that you can hang around your neck taking your necklace spot and allowing it to hold a 3rd ring for you.

I think it's just called Additional Magic Item Space or something, from the Epic Level Handbook.

To get it, you'd have to hit an epic level first, which would be 21.

This is what I was thinking as well. I was unaware that Ebberon gave similar benafits at a lower level.

its not an artifact, it just is a dead elf hand tied around your neck, that wears the ring, on your necklace slot.

the ebberron feat is open to anyone who already has forge ring. The balancing factor is that most characters at level 8 arent going to have 4 rings available to them that are going to be very powerful, especially when they are part of a group. Where, in DDO, such a factor does not exist.

IMO it sounds like the OP is trying to get a tumbleweed, chattering ring and a third going all at the same time.

If your thinking the hand of Vecna, you can keep the blasted thing! Not worth the 3rd ring slot......

I'm very afraid of epic levels in DDO. The Epic Levels Handbook for PnP is BROKEN beyond any sort of repair--spellcasters become gods in about 3-6 levels after level 20, while everyone else slowly builds upon their existing power, and fall WAY behind casters. Just to mention one issue with the rules.

If a spellcaster isn't already virtually a God by level 20, he probably won't get much closer over the course of 6 levels.

Sure epic spells are silly overpowered, but you don't need them to attain that level of brokenness.

How many more ways could a fighter learn to kill somone faster by level 21? A spell caster on the other hand has the universe at their whim to try to control. Fighters just get tougher for other fighters to kill. I agree spell casters are far too powerfull at epic levels but they have always been the late bloomers of D&D clear back to 1st ed when they took more xp just to level then any other class.

Also I dont expect DDO to be much different in Epic levels. After all we have already slayed CR 30 mobs so what else is there?
