Default Combat Expertise turning off when not casting

Combat Expertise is suppose to turn off when you cast a spell. So when a wizard drops a firewall then combat expertise turns off. Or, when a cleric throughs a heal spell.

Why does, or better yet should the following turn off combat expertise:
    1. lessor restore potion (or any of the potions that were turned into clickies)
    2. monk finishing moves
    3. clickies like shield

There are probably others I've not noticed yet. But these do not make sense to me. The change to the cooldown on CE has helped, but I would like to see it changed further so that these things do not turn it off.

    Thanks.

the answer is that all those things use the casting animation to produce (because of potion funnelling) and so are treated like casting a spell

Yes, I know. Have the Dev's stated that they want it that way?

I was mostly looking to bring up the discussion of fixing it so those things do not de-activate CE.

Yupyup. This is even tied in with not being able to drink pots when raged.

Completely ignored...not even a 'working as intended'.

Like Impaqt the clickies switching it off/not being able to use while raged makes sense, somewhat, but potions? C'mon man...

Hmmm...this is bothersome, as I have just created a CE based monk to test. Haven't seen this, but then I just created him. I take it then that this has been bug reported using the proper bug report form?
