A few nights ago, a good friend to many of us (Aussie, Minimonbon, Rockstarr, etc.) set up a series of Khyber server events.
The night started with a 'Vorpal Aussie' contest, where the first successful participant to slay her won a prize.
Second, we were all issued Coal and Sunflasks, and had a king of the hill/last man standing PVP event using just those two items as weapons. For some, our charges ran out before our hitpoints, and the five or so left standing got prizes.
Next were a series of very fun PVP death matches, six vs. six, in the instances found in the taverns. The battles were hard fought, fast paced, and very very fun, especially for those of us with limited PVP experience (fear Patatosack and his 400+ Searing Lights, and Meatwad's tripping abilities). Prizes again for all winners, such as Dusk Hearts and other generous contributions.
After 4-5 rounds of Death Matches, she finished the night with a talent show. A DDO, talent show? Um, yep. Two teams were chosen and each got five minutes to come up with a 'talent'; Aussie suggested dancing, poety, singing , etc. It was initially tough to come up with something good, but eventually the show went on.
Runner up went to two halflings and a WF (sorry I have forgotten your names), who started their act with a marionette show, then moved on to a very funny rendition of the Titan raid.
The winning team was a trio of fat dwarven clerics: Patatosack, Wilby and Killeric. As their 'talent', the portly three did a re-enactment of the striptease scene from the Full Monty. Helms, shields, and Blue Dragon Scale armor were shed, as the audiance grimaced and averted their gaze. In the end, the talent show was very close, but the 'lap dances' the dwarves gave Aussie clinched the victory (and much laughter). Runners up got +1 tomes, winners +2.
Thanks to all who came, but especially thanks to Aussie for putting this on, and contributing very generously in prizes all night long.
If people have screenshots, it would be great to see them. Also, I have forgotten all the participants, so please post if you joined in (and had fun).
