monk bugged ac

was running my monk last night and my centered ac bonus and my wis bonus to ac was not showing up i was was centerd is this just me or is anyone else have this problem. turned in a bug report.

no offense, just checking: are you certain you were centered?

there are 4 requirements:
1. no armor
2. no shield
3. monk weapons
4. light encumbrance

that last one can sneak past alot of people. if you WERE centered, you'd be able to get into a monk stance.

easiest way to prove a bug would be to submit a screenshot with your inventory and character sheet next to each other. bonus points for being in a monk-stance and having steady Ki.

btw, monk ac doesn't actually require #3.

It's almost always from being accidentally medium encumbered in my experience.

This happens to my cleric/monk all the time. I have to take my armor robe off and put it back on and it shows up. I dont know why it happens but it does a lot.

seeing the OP's build post on the Monk forums, i'm 95% sure it's from carrying too much weight.

Same here. Although the last few levels I don't think it has happened once. I am 16 now, and don't have it narrowed down what was causing it. I have changed my robe and weapon I run around in, if that helps. And no, it isn't encumbrance, it happened every time I logged in the character. Log in, have to enter stance, have to change weapon for ac. Normally, my str stays the same when going into water stance.

lol very funny and true i dont have a str item at the moment for me to get one i will have to craft the clerical wis item for goggles but every time i am over weighted with gear i get the sign in the top right of the screen saying am not balanced and being a handwrap monk i cant swat a fly that was not the case i relogged today and it was gone.

it just happens sometimes

i dont find it related to encumbrence, atleast not on my cleric, simply b/c clicking on a new weapon set makes my AC jump up again

and its not just a display issue, its a noticable difference in game play

It is definitely bugged. Although sometimes I think it's just the display not updating, because if I open and close the Character or Inventory screen it usually (but not always) updates the AC.

Sometimes I too have to change weapons or robe.
