Ive turned in about 75 gold coins, best ive done thus far is a sunblade.

On the other hand, i have a ton of fireshield/coldshield/resurrection cookies lol

I could have sworn it was the other way around. You handed in a gold coin and then started making moves on the jester in hopes of something special.

I gave what I thought was a gold coin. The Jester took it, then proceeded to lift his hand up and down as if he was measuring the weight, looked at it again, then bit down on it, made a sigh, then mumbled something about plat farmer replicas, tossed the coin into a spitoon type bowl on the floor, reached in his pocket and pulled out some string.

He then handed me the string as my gleaming big eyes turned into dismay. He looked up at my face, then scowed and grumbled something else, reached into his bag and gave me a twig and then said in a loud annoyed voice, "bugger off".

I turned around, flabergasted and started to walk when i realized i missed my step and fell off the magically ascended blocks and hit the ground without my feather fall item on.

I ended up using the twig afterall by making it a splint for my broken ankle.
