    Default Why, Turbine< Why???

    I dont know about any of you, but i recently crafted an item in the shroud and there was noone around to Ddoor me out, so, i FO'd. Where does it take me? Right back to the very beginning of the game. Literally, the beginning. Had to talk to the idiot when you "washed up ashore"...and since i have recently re-rolled a toon, i was able to take the "shortcut" and skip the tutorial. (I would be about 10 times as angry if i had to complete korthos to get off that god forsaken island). To top it off, when you skip the tutorial, it changed my bind point to the spot where they toss you into the actual common area of korthos.

    I just want to know why.

    That has to be the most asinine thing to be level 16 and finish out of a quest to be returned to the beginning of the game. It is nothing short of ********.

    Please, for the love of god fix this.

    If you take all your items off then /death you won't take item damage and avoid going to newbie island

    i'll keep that in mind for next time since turbine isnt going to fix this...they did it on purpose (computers never do stuff unless you tell them to do it).

    ...and besides im much calmer now after my 20 minute walk back to meridia to get my end reward

    No, they "Fixed" this... Now, instead of "Newb" tavern, you end up in Stormreach... by the impassable gate that used to lead to old Newb town...

    so not only does FO not work, but now you end up outside a tavern with a small (but real) run to get to a tavern where you can then /death safely without item loss.

    This was no big deal back when all my characters were bound to Meridia, but now my guys are occasionally bound to Reaver's Refuge. This world is actually getting fairly big... Getting from Meridia to Reaver's Refuge or vice versa is actually quite the trip.

    I see now why those teleporting masks go for so much money (I sold mine way back when before the prices went through the roof)

    no longer does this happen. you end up "washed ashore" and while it is a short walk to noob tavern, it changes your bing point.



    and bug or not, they dont ever intend to do anything about it...how long has it been that you end up in noob town when FOing? its far more important to screw around with things like making a new noob town to send you too that is actually further away. At least when you ended up in wavecrest, you could /death.



    .......the good thing about it is, i finally got that elusive ember bow i had been dying for.

    Well, maybe if when I put in my approximate quarterly "We need more inventory" post, those that agree would actually respond as such.

    As it is everytime I post how ridiculous our lack of inventory is I get as many responses saying it should be left as is.

    Get a friendly guildy to Greater Teleport you there. /signed on the annoyance factor, however.

    So you USED to FO to Noob tavern but someone went in there on the last patch and changed it to the 'washed ashore' area?

    Anyone who thinks its a bug is lying to themselves. It happens for the same reason that when you leave the reaver refuge you end up in the harbor. Because that's where they want it to send you to. Its a lame marketing tactic to make you see all the neat stuff they've changed/added to the game. And most of all its a waste of player time. What ever happened to not being like all the other MMOs by getting instant gratification by just stepping into a quest, rather than running all over to get somewhere.

    I have to agree, this is a rather ridiculous bug that shouldve been fixed a long time ago.

    However, I am very glad i pulled my teleport mask and traded it PRIOR to them fixing this or adding a teleporter to the Refuge. Well, almost glad...always regret it every time I have to ask for a ride or run to the refuge...

    Thanks hat looks great. Have heard of alot of bugs even one that had the Shroud shut down for a considerable length of time and in the time they took to fix said bug I guess they didn't have any additional time to fix the lines of code that put you in the harbor when you FO of the shroud.
