    Default Hirelings and Known Issues

Is there a reason why the myriad of Hireling bugs aren't making it into the Known Issues list? A few are pretty bad, and have workarounds... shouldn't we have it available to people to not have to figure it all out on their own? I submit bugs... but i get the feeling that my interface isn't quite working because no matter what I do, I don't get any kind of confirmation that my bugs are sent.

    • If you currently have a hireling and load from one instanced area into another, everyone who zones in after you will be stuck and forced to restart the client (after about a 10 minute wait)
    • Hirelings don't respond to commands towards other party members unless they are in aggressive mode. To manually heal party members, you have to move them from defensive to aggresive, heal, and then back to defensive
    • There are a multitude of items that hirelings are bugging on and won't interact with, including many shrines. The first shrine in VON 3, the last shrine in the crucible, and the levers in PoP for instance. (This made it on there at least)

Anyone have any other bugs that haven't made it to the known issues yet?

Hireling tether is not working most of the time. Click it, you see the message in general chat "on my way" and the dood gets stuck on a wall, and even when your 5 rooms away it doesnt port to you. On another level? Still wont port. Cant kick it from group either.

Melee types in aggressive mode spend more time breaking boxes than looking for monsters. Yeah boxes is nice. But in Waterworks, my cleric had a barb hireling, in part 4, and it stood waiting at a gate to try and break the boxes inside, while an ogre came running up. I clicked the 'attack' button several times while the ogre was selected, and it continuted to start facing the gate looking at barrels. Then I died cause I was busy trying to direct the hireling rather than attacking. Once I was dead it suddenly noticed the ogre and started swinging.

But it got hit once, then stood there not attacking, drinking potions, and died being utterly useless as a melee.

The last 2 arnt bugs per se, but as common, 'known issues' are really debilitating to their usefulness.

The casters are way better than the melee types, melee is pretty much useless at the various levels I have tried. And the paladin witha shield has 0 ac pretty much, got killed in cerulean hills like 8 times, every single monster was hitting it without missing almost. Awesome.

Porting into a new instance, all of my actions are frozen until I command my hirling from defensive to aggressive, then I can attack, and perform other actions.

Caster hirelings don't have the common sense to stay ten paces back when casting. You give a command to web, and the hireling runs into melee range. Ridicuous.
