Oh for the newer generation it is. I have had at most 2.5 million gp once. If I pool all my toons I might break 1 mill gp.

Any advice you have or a guide you can point me to would be appreciated. Assuming there is more to it than a Vale/GH/Desert loot run loop.

It's tricky. It's a matter of how many characters you have, how many characters you're starting, and equipment.

If you have a lot of characters that you're rerolling or starting, it's tough to store plat b/c you're supplying stuff to your new lowbies. But, if you have a number of different high level characters that aren't in need of any equipment/tomes, then at that point, plat pretty much just builds up. Let's say you have 3 capped guys, and don't need any equipment/tomes on any of them. One of them runs a quest, and pulls a +2 tome/wanted piece of equipment. Sells it for a few hundred thousand plat. That's a bunch of plat and nothing to spend it on. Now another one of your characters runs and pulls something else nice a day, a week, whatever, later. Sells again. It just builds and builds.

I didn't sell anything fancy since mod4. All my big chunk of plat came from 3 items in mod 3-4.

sunblade. ( sold in AH for 2mil pp right before mod5 )

various +1 tomes ( sold in AH, 300-500k pp for each in mod4 )


Now, I don't sell a thing since then.

as a somewhat newer player (I left before mod1 and came back after mod6), I've found the single most important thing to getting plat (other than getting extremly nice rare pulls to sell) is leveling a hagglebard. I didn't think it would help that much at first since paying 12K for a stack of heal scrolls (did I mention I play exclusivly healers) instead of 19 wasn't saving me that much and haggle doesn't work on the AH where I buy almost everything else....

But let me tell ya, having even a 46 haggle makes a HUGE difference is item sell cost. I now send ALL of my trash loot to my bard to sell at the brokers and rake in between 30-75K pp PER DAY just from running raids and flagging missions. I went from hovering around 200Kpp across all my characters to hovering around 1.5M pp in a matter of about a month (and that number is now raising quicker because I've already purchased everthing I couldn't afford before).

Run Shroud lots, sell extra ingredients, +2 tomes, and any uber weapon. Large scales go for ~200K each. If you're not interesting in crafting items then you can become quite wealthy selling ingredients.

Once I get all my characters capped and equipped, the money just starts building up.

Then I reroll a couple, and the money drains back out....
