Smallest group for completions...

Curious whats the lowest amount of people you guys have grouped with to complete the following quests?

Hound

Shroud

VOD

[DaveyCrockett]

Hound - 4

Shroud - 3 (during the lagfest)

VOD - 7 or 8

vod - 6..... just recently got the solo done over on ghallanda with my cleric

but for the sake of argo sadly i epic failed with my wf wizzy trying to solo

total mana pots used on solo 457, 71 during actual run 450 something heal scrolls

VoD has been soloed on normal by a psychopathic cleric with a mana pot addiction.

Or maybe it was a psychopathic WF sorc with a mana pot addiction.


Would love to know how the Hound was duoed. And trioed Shroud is impressive. Was it done with a warchanter and two very melee-oriented clerics? Or a warchanter, a battlecleric and a ranger? Or something else altogether?

Shroud has been 2manned. It was a WF sorcerer, and a WF barbarian. VERY impressive.

Hound could probably be 2manned by a well made warchanter and battlecleric. One of the 2 stays in the middle, fogs and runs for his life, other gets a stone, charms a dog, and bard buffs and keeps dog alive while the cleric goes and finds 2-3 more stones. They gather the 3 dogs, buff them, and heal them. Probably using 2-3 mana pots each in the process, but doable for sure.

VoD was a WF wiz/rog i do believe. Thats the most impressive i would say, though i have heard tell of a monk/cleric out there whos very apt at it.

Personally i never bother to shortman them because the groups out there fill fast, and tend to only shortman when the quest isnt popular(like DQ or prey)

i 2 manned it with a thief acrobat rogue and a cleric
i got the first 3 stones and bbed everything he threw up some cloudkills and solid fogs, was beautiful really =-P

also we came up with a build that can solo hound.
thief acrobat umd intimidate rogue, would be difficult for sure but possible

I almost Solo'd it, I attempted it about 15+ times or so, was racing Bunk to see who could do it first. It was her tracking/pathing that made it difficult both on Allegiance and Automation.

My personal best was getting her down to the "Now is the time to strike" but that run ended when the beholders dispelled the protectors and hounds. Heartbreaking really.

But it was before they made it harder.

The problem was she chased you on the intial run sometimes, and other times she didnt.

I couldnt figure out what triggered her, and I think that was the downfall of my completions.

Hmm, if we could figure it out, would probably be pretty easy. Get 4 stones, get the dogs and quickly charm them all in the middle, then just play healer/buffer until she hits 30%, then beat her ass and keep the dogs standing.
