    Default The Jumping Puzzles

Well when the Jumping Puzzles came out I was a little disappointed to see them, to me they are not much of a challenge at all, to other players that don't practice jumping games like myself I can see how this would be a bit harder.

Personally I like to jump around in the taverns to see how many jumps I can get in before I fall. When I'm bored, what I do is jump around the taverns backwards to see how many tables I can hit before I hit the floor.

Well to me, it might be a waste of time to everyone else, but I would like a really hard jumping puzzle to have fun with. Like something that involves a lot of death and destruction.

    Something like this.

But maybe the barrels could explode and reset themselves in mid air. And maybe some elemental traps that you can avoid if you don't have evasion, spikes that shoot out from all directions, arrow traps and other such I think would make this really fun.

Oh, and maybe have fire elementals keep blasting you from some perch to keep you moving. I think that would be fun to do.

    Default Jester Jumping

    Quite bluntly, what's the point?

Be careful what you wish for, what you say is best; for sometimes what you seek is found, not at the end of the quest.

Fun is the point. That's why I think most people would think it's a waste is because there is no chest, coins, or loot in general for that matter.

I think turbine needs to learn the difference between "Puzzles" and "Mini Games"

There is no "Puzzle" involved in getting to the Jester at all.. ust Jumping on Blocks ala Mario Brothers...

Yeah there was a chest at the end of the video, I'm just saying that I would not ask for one, my reward is the obstacles course, which is much bigger than a chest of any kind.

I'd have to say that I somewhat agree with the OP. One of my favorite quests in the game currently is the "Prove your worth" in 3BC.

I could see where this would be fun as an optional. But making a quest that requires this seems a bit mean (for lack of a better, community approprite, word). But if it's optional, make sure a stone can't be carried to the chest and then resed (maybe a portal that drops stones before the chest or something).

There are two things I practiced for hours when I first got into the game.

Jumping in the bar's, both forwards and backwards, and tumbling everywhere I went because at the time you could still sneak while tumbling.

Good fun I wonder if somehow this could also be set up as a player based event.

LOL, the obstacle course in that video is awesome! It would have to be just for fun, though, or there would be far too much bitterness from those who hate obstacle courses. Maybe an alchemy table or bookshelf at the top, for those rare collectibles used in the crafting rituals...

    Default No problem with jumping

as long as it's in the storyline. Since the Jester does not change a thing for the jump/no jump areas, I find it a dumb waste.

Almost as dumb as the Augar jump/come back tomorrow.

Our family once visited Lake Louise. We walked 90 minutes up to the cabin overlooking the glacier, just to have a good view and an overpriced drink. Our legs were sore, but it was fun!

So I can see the poster's point. There should be something at the top thought not a chest, but able to see something that few will bother to see. And don't forget the over-priced tasty hams!

1010% agree! I was honestly hoping that we'd get something like what they got over there. At least one of the jumpy puzzles being cool like that would have been great. Just the challenge to DO it would be enough for me.

    Oh well.

    Default Challenge is good.

Its fun for those who have the build that can jump, not for those who can't. Although I don't dislike it. So I would have to agree with the above that it would have to be optional. Either optional boss, chest, collectable or even experience. Another option is that i could be for one charcter to go up to pull a lever. Forcing parties to have at least one person with acrobatic abilities, monk or rogue usually can do so.

    That's my feedback.

I agree with the OP. I was disappointed in the Jester also, except House D. This thread makes me realize that I spend a ridiculous amount of roof climbing, jumping off of things, etc.

I for one hate what has been done this year. It is a pain in the a$$ and based on previous year's loot not worth the effort. I'm collecting coins but I don't know if I'll even bother turning them in. If I do I'll likely ship all the gold ones to a single character and deposit all at once.

A colossal waste of time IMO and so negative an impression that I'm scarcely interested in finding out if I am wrong by going thru the effort.
