Why some hate them or why some want them?

Hate - Used just to annoy and harrass other players around you

Want - serious issues with wanting to kill undead or find other legitimate power uses for them. Could they STUN mini bosses?

Meh, apparently that's what everybody thinks. That's already significantly more than I've been getting them off the AH for, but I haven't gotten a single offer so far.

Exactly, I think they are great when used as the developers probably intended them to be used. But unfortunately, they left the same mechanic in place that exists for all thrown "weapons", ie you can throw them in public instances.

Decorate walls with coal, see how many daggers a wagon can hold, etc. This time however, the tossed weapon creates a significant graphic effect.
