Can somebody (e.g. TURBINE), please explain to me why we loose nearly one third in fees?????

No auctioneer on this planet charges this much!

Recently sold something for 300K plat, and lost 90K plat in fees.

Please tell me Turbine, what is the justification for this???? Do you wish to keep us honest players broke?????

I might be making something out of nothing here, but these charges are ridiculous lol

Well the hole where the tent was is fine with me. The graffiti is bogus! I'm considering moving to house d. Ya it may be dark but its more safe than the marketplace.

Deval go to the general forums and start a petition to lower the fees so we can keep more of our hard earned money!

It's Turbine promoting it's brand new feature: The ability to trade on the marketplace section under each sever's forums.

The AH provides a service to you. Don't like the fees, don't use it, but for 99% of the stuff that gets sold on there, it is THE single most efficient way to earn money on the sale of those items. Any other method, involving trading or messages boards would take a whole bleepload of time. Keep in mind that also act as a clearing house, only those who actually have the money can bid the money, while on a forum a poster can claim to have anything that they want to, and it is only when it comes to the final transactions that you learn if they have it or note, or if they even show up...

Plus it is a way to provide a slight damper on the economy.

I agree with the fees. We dont have enough "sinks" in our online economy. If its valuable, sell it on the forums. If you have bunches of time, try and open your own auction service, if your respectable and the community trusts you, you could probably easily sell items for players with a small listing fee and say 10% of the final amount. It would be a bit of work on your part (keeping your listings up to date) but doable.
