Why do newb rogues get longbows instead of shortbows?

Because the dev who designed the loot apparently doesn't understand what weapons can be used by what classes.

Its also a little annoying that barbs don't get a shield. At low level barbs with shields should be encouraged, especially since you don't give them a THW anyway.
