Hey, Guild Wars is free (with some extra payments for stuff like extra character slots and the like) and it's still kicking around.

So it might make it. But the game's gotta be good. Like, real good.

Totally just depends on the type of transactions. Extra character slot or two? Maybe some inventory slots? Not a huge deal. Lightsaber that OHK's everything and its mother? Bad idea.

It basically means that people willing to p*ss away their money will have an extreme advantage over the ones that aren't.

The biggest glare, for me at least, is that it means it will be overpopulated by small children, as it is free to play for the basic game.

Well there goes my playing it, my only hope for a good star wars mmo is that they finish the pre-cu swg emulator sometime soon.
