There was no buyout option listed or I'm sure it would have been gone long before I saw it

*edit* - assuming you can call it a bidding war, of course. I had the highest bid going on the final hour, probably due to the fact nobody else had seen it either.
Then I got outbid whilst in a mission and knee-deep in giants. By the time I got back to the AH, it was gone :/

Methinks you're lying about the wop rapier, I check AH every day, rapiers specifically and I would have jacked it up over 2 million plat as soon as I saw it. If I didn't see it, it wasn't there

I check AH nearly every day as well, in addition to Fare Trades, although I must admit I spend my time evenly between Khyber and Sarlona. But when I saw it on the AH lastnight (about 8pm EST), it had a 2 hour window remaining on it, and had only 1 bid on it. There was no buyout price, and I don't have 2 mil plat, so... yeah. Bid on it, waited over an hour, and thinking I was home-free proceeded to the nearest dungeon.
Ran back as soon as I got the "you have been outbid" message, but it was too late at that point.

Really kicking myself now.
I've seen various puncturing weapons go for semi-low before; or wounding. But it's the first time I've seen a WoP for "rip-off" prices.

Ahh well.

What you may not realise is if someone bids 21 million gold on an item then the auction is, essential, bought out. Bids cannot go above 21 million gold. Once that price is put in there then all bidding ends and the "winner" just needs to wait it out.

Ive saw several on Argo go this way and I can only look on for 3 days as the timer ticks down....(I blame DfC for this btw..cause we all know its him..)

yea, not as cool as yours, but i did pick up a +3 or +4 flaming burst kukri of disruption from the house D vendor. just wondering what people are thinking.

I put some cool stuff in the vendor just so other people have a chance at it... people that may not have all that much plat... or don't have friends that have twinked their toons out... I figure it is just nice to do it sometimes...
