    Default Extra Smite Evil feat

    Hi,

On the compendium there is a pally feat listed: Extra Smite Evil V.
Under the description it does not state any pre-requisites. I suspect that it is similar to Extra Smite Evil feat in PnP D&D. However, when my character gets a new level I never see the feat listed as a choice (my pally is now lvl 6).
Is there actually prereq for the feat that was not stated on the compedium?
If any would could clarify this for me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you to all those that reply.

It's an Enhancement to the Paladin's innate ability to Smite Evil.

Thnx Mithran for the quick reply.

I guess that Turbine has it incorrectly listed as a feat...according to the compendium..instead of just enhancements. The way it shows in the compedium I got the impression that you can get smite evil and extra 5 times by using up a feat..in addition to the enhancements.

    Default The extras are Enhancements.

I'm not exactly sure of the ratio, but Paladins get additional inherent Smites (they recharge) and I think their efficacy is based on Paladin Level an Charisma Bonus. You can also Enhance Smites with Exalted Smite I, II, and III.

The other thing that happens, is that it could well be an enhancement only available to higher level Paladins than we currently have in game. I.e. you might need to be level 18 for example to take it. So the current in game options would not show it, but since it is the logical progression and the developers know they plan on having it, that feature makes it into some descriptions on various compendiums.

Paladins Start with one Smite evil at 1st level

and gain an additional Smite evil at 5th level and 10th level
    Like so:
    1st level 1/rest, 5th lvl 2/rest, and 10th lvl 3/rest.

    And in addition,
They can take an extra smite evil enhancement at levels 1, 4, 7, and 10.

    This may sound silly...
But if this is an Enhancment you are seeing,
you may also want to check your enhancement settings
and see if it the Box "Show Unavailable Enhancements" is checked...

This will show all available enhancements whether you qualify for them yet or not...

and is also a Good way to Plan ahead for what you want to do in the Future.

    Hope this helps

It's listed correctly as a Feat that one can Enhance, but level one Paladins get it, automatically. In this way, it's much like the Rogue/Monk Feat, Evasion, which is awarded to level 2 Rogues and Monks.
