    So I'm working on making a paladin, obviously. I really want a great paladin build so without further blabbering, here it is.

    28 pointer with only the 1750 tome at the end, no items or other stuff accounted for.

    Tell me what you think.

    Initial thought would be to re-run the numbers starting as rogue instead of pally for the skill point allocation at 1.

    Stats look decent.

    Rework your level progression. Most advantageous for Min/Max on SKILLS is as follows:

    Rogue, Paladin, Fighter, Paladin x5, Fighter (allows x2 feats for progression here), Paladin, Rogue, Paladin xlevel cap.

    PS: If you don't need 16 levels Paladin at level 20, take your 20th as Rogue again or extra UMD for BALANCE plus Uncanny Dodge.

    I don't understand why you would dedicate 3 feats to dragonmark of passage. With GS items, you can haste. With a mask, you can teleport. With UMD, you can teleport and mass teleport. You can also use L10 expeditious retreat wands.

    Am I missing something?

    Also, please post your strategy for fighting style - S&B, THF? Aside from knowing, I would probably take 2 monk levels rather than fighter levels for better skill points and class skills (cheaper buy), 2 feats you can use similar to the fighter or to offset a regular feat, and better saves.

    I assume you will be using mithral breast plate based on the dex and for evasion.

    Default Just my opinion

    Here's a few thing to think about.

    As somenoe mentioned above start out as rogue.

    I'm assuming you're going to wear mith BP for evasion w/ the 2 levels of rougue. Make sure you have enough dex to fill out the ac on it. 20 should be the magic number. Start dex at 12 take rogue dex 1=13 a plus 6 item=19 and a +1 tome =20 (you will get one sooner or later). 20 dex = +5 bonus to ac and mith bp has a +5 max ac bonus. This gives you 1 more stat skill point to play with.

    Start Int. at 9 and eat a plus 1 tome. If you don't have one I'll give you one if you're on Khyber they are a dime a dozen. You shouls have no problem getting one. This will give you more than enough skill points as you level. This frees up 3 more stat skill points to play with totaling 4 more than you had.

    Use those extra points for con and or cha you will need the extra HP and saves. Start cha off with an odd # as you did because pali cha 3 will put you at an even number. This will raise you UMD as well.

    You're wisdom is only an eight wich is fine, but drop 1 of you feats and take force of personality cha this makes your will saves work off of cha instead of wis. Putting your will saves thru the roof as a pali. You will have to start cha at 13 or 12 if you eat a tome along the way then take the feat after you do, but base cha must be 13 before you can take the feat. Tomes count toward base score. You have several options you can drop to pick up this feat, but in my opinion as a pali saves are a must so this feat is vital. If you have a base cha of 15 = 3 pally=18 and a +6 cha item your cha will be 24. This will move you will saves from -1 to +4. Your will saves with gh end game should end up over 30 as will the rest of your saves. Trust me you don't miss many saves when they are all over 30 and you have evasion.

    This will improve your HP and saves by a lot and you are sacrificing very little to do so.

    This is just my opinion and others will have different opinion so take what you want from it and good luck with your buils no matter how you decide to go.

    Exclamation

    Some quick notes:

    If you are going to be playing end game material and set high standards for yourself at that level (We all play to have fun, but some actually prefer to be above average at end game to actually pitch in with the group);

    If you don't mind waiting for 32 pt Builds;

    Then I recommend you play another class until you unlock Drow and play a Drow Paladin. (I agree and actually like Humans more myself for their skill points, extra feat, Stat Enhanceing....) But Paladins require a lot of Stats and you simply won't be even close to being competitive in the AC, Skills, DPS or saves Departments as presented, and there's not a whole lot of re arranging that's going to change your predicament.

    There are some VERY cool ways of making Paladins, THF, TWF, S&B, but 28Pt builds will keep you seriously lacking.

    On the other hand: To get to 32 pt. builds you can be at end game (Elite material, not just normal) with a 28pt Build Cleric, Barbarian, Fighter, Wizard or Sorc even. (The 1st two I'd actually recommend)

    The next best thing you can do is seriously read the 2 Paladin Info Treads. Dworkin of Amber's has been around for quite a while now and is very complete.

    I believe Trusteele has another recent one.

    Both of these will truly give you all the Paladin info you want to have BEFORE rolling up a Stat-Hungry; AP starved, Gear "Dependant"; Clickie-Fest Character like a Paladin.

    Hope this helps.
