A nice idea, but would intrude into Paladin territory.

Such a Fighter would make Paladins look pale in AC builds.
Erzskalde (Warchanter) / Erzassassin (just passing through - ignore me) / Erzsoldat (waiting for TR-time) / Erzschmied (ranged Artificer)

    Default hmm

well paladin does have that awesome aura for a +5 to ac.

but maybe i might have overpowered it. maybe instead have a stackable damage reduction.

i figure that a fighter would know how to absorb damage when in a fight that he/she is trained for. hmmm have to think about this.

thank you for the feedback Noctus.

Monks, rangers, and rogues (especially mixes of these classes) already make paladins (and fightres) look pale in AC builds, and they have evasion, aren't wearing armor or using a shield so they can easily out DPS both using TWF.

Armor wearing toons need something - the icy raiments are ~2 AC from completely eliminating the need for any non-robe armor altogether. It's almost worth putting a pure str based fighter in a robe to shed the armor check penalties.

I like the idea, and don't see why it needs to be limited to only fighters. Since the enhancements don't apply to the robe-wearing evasion toons (heavy and medium armor only) it seems like a good way to make armor useful again.

I'd like to see Fighter Armour Mastery changed to the above example.

To me the current system only benefits DEX-based Fighters.
Anyone else is apparently left in the cold. What good is getting an extra 2 or 3 max DEX on your armour if you're a THF build? I'd much rather just wear heavier armour or something!

So I'd be all over those changes, and would also like to see stronger ACs on raid-level armor (hey, if you can find Icy Rainments, why can't you find a full plate with a base AC of 10-12ish before bonuses? And then make greensteel armor even higher - say 13-14), and/or the various proposals for DR increases on armour (or on shields to be passive instead of blocking mode only).
