I never saw it occur on Sarlona, myself, nor was ever asked to perform anything like that on Karoneth. Before Mod 8 hit though I thought I should always have Death Pact on in part 4 so I don't go to the dead room. Once a guildy did that and went to part 5 (he finished right out) I learned it wouldn't help and never tried it, then I later heard of the exploit via the forums here, and ensured I never had the spell on in there.

What I strongly suspect happens is that most of the core posters on the forums tend to belong to guilds and or are fairly strong players and would not need/want to do this for many of the stated reasons. We also tend to run mostly guild/allied guild type runs in there to minimize surprises anyway.

What is more likely to have been happening is the free for all that could be a almost enitre pug. A few guys (with a cleric on the team) know they can do it, accept mostly unguilded types, and pull it off. I would not be naive enough to think it didn't happen on this server, but from all we know it was not as prevalent as it was on at least one other server (given the server links of some of the posters/defenders the method.)

I think it was one of the more populated servers. We don't have that many selfish arse holes on our server. I could be wrong but I doubt it. Anyways the shroud being closed doesn't bother me very much. I still haven't crafted a dang thing yet and still have lots of small, large etc.... in my inventory. I hate crafting. Period. Rather have some npc look at my stuff and say "well would you like one of these?" or something like that. I'm lazy I guess. I just waiting on the lvl cap, while lvling lowbies. Shrouds ok but meh....
