I'm going to wager it was a mix of Wall of Fire and Web while utilizing the stairs, namely because that is how I did it solo.
Probably the walls that are scripted to break and let giants loose, or break when you kill giants/frost wolves.

Have been doing it for a while on my sorc human also. Very easy bang for buck time wise.
Getting to shrine very easy. Go through the maze - f2s the clerics leave a couple of hunters to beat on her. Kill what is needed to spawn the red name - intimidate or spell dps the redname away from the dragon. Game over. (sorc has a 45 intimidate helps wonders in this situation.)

well actually it's not tough for me to solo most of the quests in present mod, so i just concern about how long ive spent and how much is the cost in my solo runs, u know it makes no sense to solo a quest by spamming pots/scrolls/wands or spending a long time

I never thought I could solo the Vale as a caster arcane but I did. You all inspire me to attempt this too...thanks for your achievments and your VERY helpful tips...now gottta find my stones...not the gems...the ones below my belly button
