Khyber losses one of it's best

I just found out that one of the best sorcs on the server (in my eyes) creepin. just had his account banned, not from cussing. not from exploiting. and not from grifing, he got his account banned becasue he used some one else card to pay his account, after they said he could. then they got mad. and called turbine. and got his account perma banned, this is an out rage. ask any one on khyber and 99% of them say. they know him and hes a good guy. turbine turn his accoutn back on!

You may know him in-game, but you have NO way of knowing whether he really had permission to use that card.

If the card-bearer called Turbine, they have no choice but to do what they did.

The way I read the OP, if your mom called Turbine and said you didn't have her permission to use the card, then they would ban you.

i was talking to his rl friend on ddo. thats where i got my info, yes i guess what it was was, it was his grandmas card. she payed it. then they got in a fight. he moved out. but the account was still on the card. so they called trubine. and it gets banned, i dont know the whole story why dont a gm tell us. why it was reason enough to ban him, if thats not enough hes one of the few reasons i payed my account a week ago. cause it was off for 3 days. but i know a few ppl. that i like to play with. if turbine dont give a good reason my acocunt most likeley will not be payed again,

Yes, but if your mother called Turbine and said you didn't have permission to use it, then Turbine would have to cancel it and since Turbine has no way of knowing that for sure you are her son, Turbine has to error on the worst case scenario.

For all Turbine knows, the card could have been stolen. Its a he/she said type scenario and Turbine chose the path that would cause less direct harm to them in the future.

Oh and yes agreed, it's unfortunate that Creepin was the one it happened too. A very good person indeed.

Ok, brains asleep, now in rereading it slower, i see some words i must have skipped over the first time, "used someone else's card, then they got mad and called turbine and got his account perma banned"

my brain read this as "he used someone else's card with their permission", "got banned because he did so", "He (Creepin) got mad and called Turbine and got his account perma banned".

Turbine will never discuss bans with others. I hate to say it but Turbine had no choice as the card holder basically had him banned not Turbine, as they basically did the standard action any company would do when a customer disputes a charge.

Oh yes, all that other malarkie aside, he was a great player. However, Turbine did the only thing they could do, painful lesson learned for the rest of us, and i'm sure he'd want us to take note of it.

He needs to go the grandmother route. He has to make up with her, have her call Turbine and tell them that she made a msitake, and they would probably undo the ban.

Much as I hate to support Turbine in anything at the moment, why complain to them here? My quote illustrates where you correctly pointed out who is responsible for the ban. Go write to grandma.

Turbine has no knowledge of the circumstances behind the reason, all they know is that a cardholder is stating their card is being used without their permission, and that woudl generally cause them to close the account in case they are dealing with fraud.

Great player or not, he's an epic fail on that note. Get over it.
