Exactly , that's what I don't want to deal with, someone thinking 30 mins isn't fast enough, lol. Good enough for me on most days . If I want a real speed run I'd run with no one who couldn't solve their puzzles(at least 2 or 3 of my regulars can't) and just act all ooober and shizz, lol. But that leaves out people I ENJOY questing with.

WE take norg on speed runs and EVERY one knows he ALWAYS gets the 5x5 and needs help

this is probably the worst nightmare for a pug raid leader. we have had people who dun listen very well and can screw up your speed timing. desteria had run in some of the raids i lead and have commented on some of the casters who were staying with the main group instead of clearing portals. unlike some of the raid leaders, i pretty much accept almost anyone, unless they are in the list

Aye after being told MORE THEN ONCE, at one point I just went off with kwaiii or who ever i was on think it was kwaiii and started clering them my self, done that a few tiems in pugs where they don't seam to have the concept of killing trogs menas NO orthons/PK/Bez.... thuingys.... grab random char i'mon and go clear portals, sucks if i'm on Fut hes kinda gimpy....

2 was done before you couldn't bug everything out, couldn't do it with 2 now, but I do agree 6-8 good toons can breeze through the shroud, if only I could get people to save just their good toons for my runs, lol.

I have at least 7 or 8 regulars( I usually only have 3 or 4 guildies but I have some peopel from other guilds who come.) who run and I might have to start messing with speed runs. Got nothing to do with uberness, I have guys that go afk all the time and stuff like that, adds 5 mins here, 5 mins there. See how much fun it is with a bard with base songs, no enhancements(these are the type of gimps I'm talking about not my regular crew), and then theres the people you bring along to be nice even though you don't need the class(like 4 casters) or whatever. I run shroud cuz it's my favorite quest and we joke around laugh and have fun and people screw up on purpose to see me yell,or try to get me to, lol.

You make it sound like this is work for you. You don't have to run pugs, you don't have to drag newer players by the armor straps through raids. You just don't have to.

We are not your wife, you should not feel the need to come home and moan to us about your day.

While posting here may make you feel better it does nothing, absolutely nothing to curb the problem. All it does is start these kinds of threads. Although they are sometimes entertaining, they are usually painful and pointless.

I am not here to just be a Critical Chris, i can also be a Suggesting Sam or a Helpful Harold.

Join other pugs and be a passenger for a while, most guilds would be more than happy to have you. While you may annoy the freckles right off my face with your forum posting at times, you are a competent player and would be helpful addition to almost any run.

Just for the record, we will not kiss you goodbye on your way to work or bring you orange juice when you have a cold.

unfortunately, i meant this to go public. the last time i had to explain to a noob why he is refused in my raids, i had vulgarities hurled at me (duly reported of coz). squelching does help as he started spamming everyone in my party and guild

I'm sorry Aranticus but i have to politely disagree with you here...
If, for personal enjoyment reasons you run pretty well exclusively Clerics (as i do - see sig), and mostly capped, and mostly through raid content, then having more than $50K per toon is extremely difficult.
Even with a great guild who contribute plat, Gtar who sells at exremely pleasing rices etc... it's very resource intensive doing VoD, Shroud and Hound on Hard or Elite.

My greatest compliment the other day from a guild run through VoD...
"no - we don't need three Clerics, two will do - we got Enermax with us..."
Unfortunately this has the side effect of me wanting to accomplish and beat the quest no matter the cost! (LOL - could this be consdiered being beaten by your own reputation??)

hard or elite is currently at a higher level than we are and should rightfully cost resources. if you are consistently running the end on hard or elite, you are knowingly spending extra resources. i run my clerics through shroud, vod normal, and it doesnt take me any resources. vod took me 20 scrolls with me as part of the 2 cleric team

stop running hard/elite and watch your plat grow

Don't want to put you on ignore as you occasionally have something interesting to say, and as you post in pretty much every thread ever written i may lose some context and continuity when perusing these forums during lunch. You can see why that would suck.

group 1, monastery. 1 clr, 2 ftr, 1 mnk, 1 pal, 1 sorc. the mnk is a new roll and the other ftr is a 1st toon. throughout the quest, the mnk was zerging ahead and the group had to rush to save his behind. absolutely no ac nor had any pots at all. the fighter was wielding 2 weapons and all the while getting beat up by the mobs and again no pots. when i asked them what gear they were using, the mnk when on the defense. he said he did not had the ac as he were still lacking gear, namely no raiment. more importantly, when the fighter pulled a prot +5, he asked him immediately for it. problem is the fighter need it too. dps wise the other melees really suck, we had 140 kills total, me and the sorc accounted for 115

Surely you do not expect the people who are excluded from your raids for being "noobs" to be reading these posts do you? It is not like they are going to go "ahh i get it now, gee that aranticus is such a fair and reasonable guy".

i could do a precise step by step, line by line analysis of what happened but that would mean a wall of text. i'm not stroking my ego, if i did i'd just write i had top kills. i was working hand in hand with the sorc, i'll draw agro, fight in his fog, he fod the casters. you can confirm this, hes your guildie
