suggested tactics, no one used ie fight with intimidate, in web/fog/ck. suggested using a shield, was told dps is more impt, to which i replied it helps the cleric and they made some remark that guildie has to heal them

in the vod run, the clerics suggested people to remove own curse as there were only 2 clerics and they were busy healing. the player in question just stood there until someone removed his curse and gave him a heal
If you want to know why...

I have 3 capped clerics and 1 14, i love playing clerics. People really annoy me though when they are deliberately not carrying pots.

I don't mind hitting you if you ran out or are raged, whatnot. I do mind the people who think it is my job to babysit.

I totally agree, and to be up front, I rarely run Heathier outside guild... (when she was growing up she kept me pretty much broke) If I know people in the group then I'll bring her... as a cleric she is probably the most neglected of all my girls as I play her the least... she's last on my thoughts. I cannot afford the costs of running her in pugs if I do not know least one or two people in it... the chances are fair that the pug will be good - but all it takes is one badly arranged group with a chaotic style of play and she'll put me next to poor house ... thus will have to run 3-4 other quests on the other girls to get her out of the hole. I was surprised at the last couple shroud runs I did with her... one with vorr as the other cleric and another where she was the lone cleric ... not a scroll or mana-pot used in both runs. Great groups. but as I said it only takes one or two players who through carelessness or assumption think that you're a personal nanny and throws all caution to the wind to eat into your pocket-book, nerves and your enjoyment.

Emili, grew up in pugs that first year of DDO... back in that time, we used to blind invite people all the time... first class I'd ping - a cleric - as such I knew I wanted the clerics to like my playing and took the viewpoint that - That mana-bar on them - is theirs... thus I tried to be as self-sufficeint as I can be. Sure I made mistakes from time to time but the attitude of self-contained is what we strive for.

I prefer the snide comment method.... Boy, this is normally so much easier when the cleric heals, or.. do you happen to have the heal spell memmed, lol. Those **** gimp clerics off, and melees all you have to do is point out that they have to swing their weapons to kill stuff, that kind of sublety usually works great for me. Guess thats why people group with me. They like the kind words and coddling, lol.

it doesnt really need alot of plat to get prepared, each stack is abt 8k pp. any one leveling up to L14-16 would have accumulated 100k or so. they also drop often in chests as well. needless to say, these people are now on the LIST

if you have read my threads, then you would know that i rant alot on the forums. if you have read my posts, then you would know i help new/returning players out but have no love for noobs. if you have read my posts, then you would know that i can have smart intellectual discussions but with people who are beyond reason i am snide and caustic

Ha, ha, ha, that is the funniest thing ever. I have a couple of capped characters BUT i have never got more then 50k plat at one time. So just because you grind and play all the time it doesnt mean that the non-"uber" players who support 2 or 3 accounts to make the game more fun for others should have a whole bunch of money. If you carry that many pots, i ASSUMED that you gave the monk, fighter and pally about 50 apiece, RIGHT????

So watch what you say about others-i would be annoyed too, but honestly, ya dont need to put up hate forums because of it.

Even I, the death-king, carry a whole slew of pots...and not just for myself. Half the time I'm also trying to remove the curse from the noob who doesn't have those pots on them when the clerics are otherwise occupied. Just buy a stack of pots you cheap @$$#$!

i'm sorry doesnt work this way. if they are new i'd gladly pass them pots and such just to help them out. you have a couple of capped chars and i've ran with you in shroud. just by selling the vendor trash from shroud would net you 5-8k plat. large ingredients will net you even more. if you have several chars and do not have 50k plat then you got to look at the way you manage your resources

True sometimes people really dont know what to bring for quests that they have never ran before. I have never ran VOD so now I know that I need to bring remove curse wands. And yes It is possible that they didn't realize they were out of potions, the other day I was in a group and ran out of spell components mid quest, was embarrased but didn't do it on purpose. I do understand the need to rant though. Let it out, breath deeply then go kill something online, works for me.

Um, lets see the tanks finish a raid without the Clerics.. I only know of a handful of tanks that have soloed reaver, or 3 manned titan/dragon, and the only successful VOD solo was a wizard. Melees arent in a position to be demanding everything of the other classes and making weak threats. He isnt saying fighters suck. Hes saying any moron can buy a stack of pots and use them.

eh, for monastery I like to just zerg to the end on my cleric. Then fo, come back in, and collect all the stones so I can res them at the chests. Theres very little point in killing all the trash on the first floor, and the bottom floor its only necessary to get whatever wanders up to the puzzle.

i used curse poison pots on them, told the cleric not to heal me so he has more sp for the rest, even donated to the cleric. they are not the ones affected by all that non sufficiency, the cleric is, i rather put money where the need lies

as for vod, i wasnt the leader

Well ok you werent a leader but you angry at the people that didn't have potions?Inventory space is small as it is not everyone bring all kind of stuff unleass they know they need them..............so maybe put the leader of the group in your list?Since they didn't tell everyone what they will need?

And by the way pugging isn't for everyone:P Not all the time everything goes how you want..............some people have more then others and some know less then others.

nope not angry, more like fustrated. been seeing lots more of such players these days. the impact is to drive clerics "underground". noticed this as less and less clerics are not on annon as well as a majority of them complaining of the lack of resources

small inventory space? could you please show me how you can fill 100 slots worth of gear more important than some pots?
