    Default Rags. Clothes. Non-armor non-outfits.

It recently occured to me that my new sorc might just keep wearing her starter rags for a very long time. They're not robes. They're not an outfit. Not that she could wear armor effectively, but they're not armor.

They're...well...clothes. Sort of. Medium length skirt and a top that doesn't look sweltering. Never mind the tears in the fabric. Never mind the dirty gray color, even.

More like this, please. Skirts & shirts/blouses. Trousers & shirts. Wouldn't take more than a few styles of relatively "normal" clothing, random colors that preferably don't look too horrible together. Similar to the way armors can have shoulder bits and whatnot that change, some of these could have buttons and others laces.

I know this has been beaten to death on the forums before. Doesn't mean it's any less valid now. You already have the rags type in - expand upon that a bit at a time. Make a harbor vendor that sells them, nonmagical types that is. Don't even bother making magical varieties, at least for the most part, at least at first.

If I have to bring someone beetles, moss, cryptworms and mushrooms to get this, I WILL.

Update: EU+Store = close enough. Thank you.

I agree put a tailor in the House P general vendor shop next to the caravan quest. It is already setup with cloth decor and such...

    Shameless bump.

Poor Virie (v2) is now wearing a heavily embroidered (gold plated, more like) full-length robe that looks like it weighs more than she does. It was the least awful of the robes I'd found so far for when she hit 4th level. I'm still tempted to put her back in the rags just so she doesn't look encumbered by her clothing...

I know I kept and locked away the Starter Rags my new characters got recently since they provided a nice change of pace look.

I wore starter rags on a new character until level 14 - 16 and I know several people that have done the same. Starter rags are very cool looking - kudos devs..

I also have a sorc wearing her rags. Nothing else adds any benefit without detracting aesthetically. I love the way she looks in the rags, but would love even more variations in color, combination (with skirt/trousers), etc. The outfits were a nice start to adding variety in wearables, and the rags are a nice start to expanding that theme. With so many dex-based characters utilizing clothes rather than armor of any type, these could be widely useful.

I suppose I could bind them and then run the AC ritual on them for some in game benefit as well....

I bound mine, first thing upon hitting the mainland. No ritual on 'em though...AC would be pointless for her and not sure if the adamantine ritual would A) work and B) be worth the effort, since they can't take permanent damage. Worst that will happen is she gets reduced from rags to the underwear set. Speaking of which...the rags are functionally about the same as the underwear and look a whole lot better. How about changing the "underwear" to the rags' appearance?

    Default I agree

I agree the rags are a nice change and my new rig is wearing them right now and im very tempted to keep them on...but has anyone notices how much unsolicited air/leg humping (grolping or something) takes place in these rags? Ive had to chase off a fair few.

How about crafting clothing? I don't want to play WoW but would much rather be picking up items that could be used in crafting when a mob drops a bag than another junk collectable. It would be another way to spend time collecting items used to craft and sell. This would add another dimension to the game.
