    Default Wisdom and ac

I heard that if you splash a level of monk, that you get your wis modifier as an ac adder.

Can someone tell me if this is from an enhancement or feat or automatic?

I am creating a rogue/rgr and was gonna splash a level of monk. The character would probably end up with a 16 wis for a modifier of 3 which would be a nice ac adder if it was true....

I am not sure i would really loose much depending on whether i stay 1 rogue/1monk/14 rgr

    Please advise....

    Cheers

it is automatic, but you must not be wearing any armor (but robes) or a shield or you do not recieve the modifier.

you will get a further +1 centered ac if you are using ki-centered weapons (fists, kamas, quarterstaffs)

Kind of curious, how does this bonus apply to WF wearing docents? Do you lose your wis bonus modifier?

assuming you have composite and not mithral or adamantine body, you're fine.

So close....but so far away from a correct answer.

No armor or shield nor can you be above light encumberance.

And no, you don't loose the centered bonus if you're using a non-Monk specialty weapon (fist, kamas and q-staffs).

    Default So many wrong answers....

    I have a lvl 16 Halfling monk.
I have a lvl 13 WF Monk as well.
SO I am not guessing here, I know because I have tried.

For a Warforged Monk, no matter what you splash it with.
    Composite - OK
    Kama, Quarterstaff, Shuriken, Handwraps OK

    Mithril - NOT OK
    Adamanite - NOT OK
    Shield NOT OK
    ALL OTHER WEAPONS NOT OK

Any of the above and you are not centered and lose your bonus.

The additional AC is due to wisdom adjustment and additional AC given every couple of levels.

So a single splash of Monk will not get you all the AC bonus, just the Wisdom adjustment.

Nothing sucks worse then when you start Gwylands Stand, and you run in picking up containers, and after you've picked up four of them, you lose your light encumberance. And effectively lose all your monk abilities.

Yeah, I hate it when the chest spit out nothing but armor. Makes my poor halfling want to cry

Yeah, suddenly you realize that for a monk dex build, strength still matters.
