I guess all the people on all the servers doing the same for 3 years is not good for byz ,i would also suggest you to check any marketplace or trade forums in ANY other mmo and let us know wich one has a price check page .

I guess if theres not one mmo out there that has one and that if people use the trade page in pretty much any other mmo to do price checks .

Chance we have *** (edited for conformity purposes) to police the forums one for the posts one for the trades .

So guys its never been done here on any servers ,it hasnt been done in pretty much other mmo but it has to be done here because thats what byzantian says ,ok guys .

You can also check historically back track as far as you can on the ddo forums it always has been that way and no one ever complained about it or was annoyed by it .

If that or AH were a viable option to determine fair prices, I might agree folks could avoid PC threads here. But the fact is this is the best community for which to direct the question.

Even as a guildie, and one who traded with you several times before joining IFV, I just think you're going a bit far with this one...

Actually In my opinion the best way to get a price check is to ask someone in game. It's a lot easier.

Can't ask people in game. The game is a role-playing MMO, and not a trading game. We need to play hardball and realize its not a trade/sell/swap game. If we can't do a PC on a trade forum we sure as hell can't ask someone in a RP game.

Second, on a PC, I think folks are looking for at least somewhat unbiased opinions. If you say "it's worth X and I'll take it off your hands for that", they have to question the truthfulness of your valuation given your own expressed interest.

Similarly, I think most people with PC threads are looking for a few replies before they have enough info to decide if there's consensus range on the value and if they really want to keep it or sell it for something in that range. Many times the OP will come back and say "ok, I'd like to trade it for Y or Z", *then* you can send your offer.

The few times I have put up a PC on items and usually the first few replies are from people trying to under bid it and 'rob' you. They assume that becasue you are asking a PC, you have ZERO idea of its value.

I love it when they reply "Well, since I have 12 of these already and I dont really need it, I ll offer you x..." <-- That is not an unbiased PC being offered, it is a biased offer with the intent to take advantage of someone and trying to puff them selves up (look at how uber elite I am).

If you are so irritated by Price Checks, then simply dont look at them. Using one website that has maybe 25 users or the AH to value something is pretty useless (who really thinks that alot of the items posted on AH are accurate gauges of their going price??.. usually they are way over inflated and quite possibly posted by platfarmers.)

If you think you can come here and TELL people where to do their PC's, you will get nothing but a wall.

Now, if you had stated to everyone, "Hey all, I've noticed a lot of PC's here in the past while, did you know that people are going to whateversite.com and having much more success in determining the value of their items", you may have got a lot more support.

One thing I've learned from watching the many posters on the ddo forums, if you want to come out and sound like a know-it-all arse, and you want to tell people what to do, it won't work.
