some classes have particularly tight ap trees (fighter, bard, paladin), some have particularly tight feat layouts (ranger, often rogue, often paladin), but there is not that much overlap and it is entirely acceptable for one class to be burdened in one area and free in another and for a 2nd class to have the reverse issue.
What sucks is when classes have both problems, which is frequently compensated for by the strength of the enhanements
kensai is a sizable ap investment and a moderate feat investment; tempest is a moderate ap investment and a sizable feat investment
rangers are forced to tradeoff in one area that gies them a variety of other options (feat shortages reduce build flexibility, not letting them add emp healing to take advantage of having 10 spare ap to take the healing line), whereas fighters have a ton of flexibility in one area (feats) and less in another (aps).
this is ok.
