I have an elf sorc, a human sorc and a baby drow sorc. The human is by far my favorite, but the drow will be pretty sweet when she gets bigger.

Max charisma, put a little into str and the rest in con.

    Just my 2cp...

I would also add 2 pts in INT personally. I very much enjoy a high Haggle and very usable UMD. Throw GH and a UMD item into the mix and you will be UMDing divine scrolls just because you can!

Having the ability to spot cast Heal scrolls in a Shroud/VoD run is never a bad thing IMHO.

I currently have a Drow Sorc btw.

    Survivable Sorc
    32pt Human
    18 con 18 cha
    +2 toem to cha
    +1 toem to Con

    AP's
    Human cha 1
    Sorc cha 3
    Human Con 2
Tougness feat as your extra human feat at level 1.
Racial tougness 2 or 3 I liek only 2 for the cost savings
    at High level(umd 35+) 40% wand/scroll enchment

Spells to kepe self buffed all the time.
    FIRE SHEILD
    DISPLACMENT
    NIGHT SHILD
    RAGE
    HASTE
    RESIST ENERGY
PROT (one of them depening where you can fit it level 3, 5, or 7)
    JUMP

    items:
    GFL
    +6 cha
    +6 con
    Shroud SP/cha skills
    Shroud 45hp

    Skills:
UMD <- eventualy no fail heal/MCMW scrolls.
    Concentration.
IF you can eat a +2 int tome at any time add in some jump/balance/tumble(1 rank only) or what ever.

    the rest to taste
you will have lots of HP good mitigation fro the TONE of fire spells tossed out, and for the cold heavy places as well.
Displacment in most places is 50% AC combined with haste adn jump to get you the frag out of town
Night sheild is a resist item with no slot and MM/FM immunity that can other wise decimate even your impresive HP fast.

Personally, I'd consider the most survivable Sorc to be a WF sorc with Quicken. WF sorcs really take a hurting, however, from not being 32 pointers.

If you don't have 32 point builds unlocked, go Drow or Human, and either way max out UMD (which will suck at low level but trust me, it'll be worth it at high level).
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

You need a fair few things on a Sorc - Cha (absolutely needs to start maxxed on a WF - that's 16 build points gone), Int (you'll need Concentration and UMD at a minimum, there's quite some merit in a point in Tumble and many in Balance too) - so you are looking at several build points pretty much being needed there. 6, 8 or 10 build points into Con and you have nothing at all for Str, which means you'll be getting badly burdened at endgame due to your low carry capacity (worse if you cop Str damage)

On the other hand, Human and Drow sorcs can easily afford all the key skills with no build points being spent on Int; plus due to their bonuses to Cha (Human via enhancements) it's possible, although not advised, to spend only 13 build points on Cha.
