warforged sorcerer splash

Hey folks, I read many posts and couldn't find an answer...

I am going to roll a warforged sorc, but I am thinking of starting my first level as another class then going all sorc from there on in.

My questions are these...

Which starting class would be the best match for sorceror?

and..

Does it matter if my first class is not a sorceror or any drawbacks to taking sorc later?

Just for starters:

With Cha as a prime stat, you can look to Paladin for a bit of melee capability at lower levels. However, if you follow some of MrCow's, postings, you may find that you really don't need a splash of anything. I cant think of a good reason to Multiclass a WF Sorc unless you want to be a Melee Build.
