You Do realize you'd make more plat just selling those items here right??? I doubt your auction wil go much over 200k Plat on that scale.. THen subtract 30% off the top for the AH Fee....

Instead of attacking people who are trying to help you out, you should try again to listen to what's being said here. This is your second post about AH auctions, and folks are trying to tell you nicely the community considers this to be bad form. And additionally you should welcome the feedback about how to use the forums to maximize your potential profits by posting good items you wish to sell/trade here instead.

You are the unknown here, attacking people who are established and respected members of the forum community certainly isn't helping yourself garner any respect. Listen and learn from those here who are experienced and your gaming experience will likely improve.

    Good luck.

QFT ... people hate the wait-three-days game ... much better to put a buy out option, it will go for more than the auction. Or as Impaqt says, sell it right here or auction it right here ...

Case in point: I paid 70K plat for a +6 CON ring last week that had no buyout (I was lucky enough to be online and not in quest when the timer went up) ... if the owner would have put a buyout of double that or even triple that then they would have gotten it I'm sure ...

We are just trying to help you out here bro ....

I have to agree with tc here. You should take everyones advice if you want maximize your profits. You will get more plat just selling them on the forums. Unless you are a plat farmer and there is some rule about selling stuff on the forums.
Everyone so far is trying to help you, it would be a good idea to listen. But to each there own gl tummada.

While I agree with all of posters, I am looking at this a bit differently. Think of it as a social experiment to determine what the value of these large ingredients are. While I agree that putting a buyout on an item is a great thing especially if I am the buyer and I think the item is valued correctly, most buyouts are friggin ridiculous. If the OP is "crazy" enough not to care that he might not be getting "market value" for his ingredients then I say let him go. Besides any one of us can put a 300k plat bid on the item to insure that we scare off the masses and he gets his "fair price".

They need to do the ah like ebay. If we could put in our max buyout we would pay and not have it jump until someone else bid. We would see ah prices go alot higher. Most people want a deal and aren't willing to wait 3 days to get it.

I agree with you Rev...if something is on there I want it NOW as long as it is a decent/fair price. I am tired of waiting but I am more tired of the stupid prices on mediocre crud and some of the ridiculous pricing on the select uber stuff that people put up there to test the waters for suckers.

I really appreciate everyone's concern. I know you all are trying to help by giving me your advice. But you fail to see the bigger picture. Try opening your mind a little and realize plat is not what it's all about. Its about making a statement! Thing are way over priced on the AH...There is no way the average player can afford AH prices for Large Ingredients. And if the bidding for my items surpasses what the average player can afford so be it at least he or she had a chance at a really great deal.

The post by Ironforge clan is right on.

While that is very noble of you. I doubt any of your ingredients will fall into the hands of casual players. The "casual" player doesnt have the time to wait 3 days, and get on at a specific time to wait the last 1hr to bid back and forth on an item. All you are really doing is setting up the power gamers for great deals on the ah.
I know when your auctions end to the minute now and I can wait until the last minute to bid and almost garuntee I will get them(unless someone else has taken the time to figure out the exact minute).
You would be better off giving them away to people you meet in raids that you know are new to the game or casual gamers.
But again to each there own. You have to do what makes YOU happy in game. If this is it than post them ingredients.GL

One possibly overlooked benefit...the OP won't have to deal with people who are upset because they felt they had the highest bid/didn't get a chance/thought their offer was the best/etc/etc. Sometimes NoHardFeelings>Plat.

a 3 day auction with no buy-out is like a marathon..ya some people start out strong maybe in the lead from time to time but it take persistence to hang in til the end. I know personally there were a few auctions i really wanted to win but because of my work/personal schedule by the end of the 3rd day I lost. Not because I'm a casual player, I actually consider my self a power gamer at times, but because i don't know the future! ask me today where and what i will be doing 3 day's from now and I can give you my best guess but all that could change come the 3rd day. Because of this I see why people prefer the buy out way. It gives them immediate reward for little effort.

    FYI...

If you want to maximize your profit (doesn't appear that you do though), start a 3-day auction in the evening... I believe your large scale auction ends around 4:00 pm CST (5:00 EST).

You'd get more if it ended at 9:00 pm... more people will be on to bid in those last minutes...

FYI - I bumped the price to 120k plat this morning before I left for work

and I MIGHT be home before it ends....

Oh, and I agree with others that posting on the forums that you put something up on the AH is bad form. This one thread is interesting, but don't make it a habit to start a new thread everytime you post something on the AH

While I agree for the most part with Thrudh about posting a thread for items you post on the AH, with an item like the scale which is in high demand, I don't think it's really bad form. There has been a shortage of scaleas on the AH so it's a good 'heads-up' that there is one listed for bid...and not with a ridiculous buyout.

Ahh but Ringos .. this thread wasn't about scales (with the exception of a reminder at the bottom about his previous auction thread ... read the OP)
