If you are the only black person in a horror movie, you will die.

If you are home alone, female, and in a horror movie, don't answer the phone.

If know one knows your name, you will die regardless.

If you are a virgin, you will be the first chosen for sacrificial rites no matter the movie genre.

Cannibals prefer boiled human flesh than fire-grilled, live in tropicals areas, and have horrible taste in clothing/accessories.

-Never ever wear a red shirt as part of your uniform
-never walk into a dark room during a known murder spree
-just wait either a half hour, hour, 90 min or 2 hours and whatever bad situation you in will have wrapped up favorably by then.
    - you'll never have to use the washroom for a 1 or 2, but make frequent uses to gossip/do hair/beat someone up.

When seeing that amazing thing far off and high up in the sky: alien space craft, flying super hero, burning building ect

Make sure for his close-up to take eyeglasses OFF to see it better because we all know that we can see better without glasses.

Medical Doctors on TV never need to wear face masks when they perform surgery.

There is always a cat stuck in the top part of every closed closet door in a horror film.

    Cool thread.

When astonished by something high up and far away in the sky, (alien space craft, burning building, super hero in flight) make sure and take your prescription eyeglasses OFF, because we all know we can see better with our glasses off.

Every poorly made horror film has a cat stuck on the top shelf behind any closed closet door in the house.

Surgeons on TV don't need to wear surgical masks.

Human beings will always be able to defeat all aliens they encounter, even though the aliens have mastered superluminal transport, have superior weaponry, and are (5 times as fast, have natural weaponry, and/or 5 times as strong).

All aliens are evil and are continually plotting the overthrow of humanity whether by force of arms or copulation to plant their evil seed.

When aliens threaten our planet, the President of the US will always be able to give a spur of the moment speech that will stir the blood of everyone on the planet making them all forget their differences to defeat the alien menace.

    (More to come later....maybe)

    Kinar,

Five years ago I got into discussion with My coworker and friend.

It centered around movie stereotypes... and He had come up with the List,
How many were on it at the Time I don't recall...

If He got it from Somewhere else... I don't Know, But we had funn adding to it
and I say again, for over FIVE YEARS

But That was not the Point of My Thread.
it was only to say "Hey lets have a little fun..."

And THIS is exactly what I was Talking about...

I have grown Weary of all the "Griefing" on these forums...
of All the heartache, and "Doom and Gloom"...

The very lists you cite repeatedly say "Source unknown"

So who Knows who made it?

    I don't...
Now If I was trying to Say "The Internet Stole My friends and I's work."

As you so Quaintly put it...

THAT would Be trying to Take Credit.

    All I know,
is that Over the course of Five years we have continued to add to this list
in the Spirit intended, the list grew to The 50 or so you see here.

I am not trying to "Take credit" for anything, Just have a little fun.

But to Satisfy you, and to Avoid any trouble...

    I have edited my OP.

I have no desire to claim credit for anything we didn't add to the List...
and I have no desire get in War over this... Enjoy your Victory

Thank you for being a Wet Blanket.

    You win.

No, you win. Bekki rules, regardless of whether there was any sort of plagerism, which... really doesn't matter in a list of useless trivia that's not being sold and is free to public consumption.

I've thoroughly enjoyed your awesome musings, Bekki.

In any standard modern day movie that has a group of friends (5+), there will always be a nerd/know it that all get annoyed with at some point because that person is a jack ass about must being correct.

It doesn't seem to matter how many swimmers/surfers get eaten by a massive shark, people will be back at the very same beach the next day if not by that same night

The crappy, underfunded and under trained team will always eventually win at least one game and it will change the entire town for the better.

No matter how small it is, the explosion it generates will be at least the size of a large mansion, and will cause everything else in the area to spontaneously explode, even if the object or material is nonexplosive and nonflammable.

Racing a train is never a problem: you will always either beat it or vault over an empty car, to safety.

No matter how badly you drive, your car is invulnerable and everything will move out of your way.

I learned that in every movie, if you are the cocky guy that is a jerk, you will always live to the end of the event.

I also learned that an outcast with minimal schooling is always more talented then the guy that spent his life learning something.

    Then the last lesson is
all women are secretly ninja trainees that can kill me in a second...
