Many of the people that play DDO play for the people more than the actual game itself. The spirit, comradarie and community that play here IS important, and as much as it is "only a game", these things are real.

My question to you BG is where do you see yourself?

On the one hand I see posts saying you are helpful, such as going back for lost souls...yet on the other you let people trying to join your raids in good faith sit in LFM queue's for minutes without a response.

Within our clique groups we may seem unreal...wonderfully helpful and generous. The question is though how do we treat the community as a whole. How does our game play influence the enjoyment of the game of others outside our own groups?

Do you run by a set of good community values and in doing so not careless what people think of you OR
Do you do what you want to others and not careless what poeple think of you?

Correct. Which is why I am expressing my opinion that one person has no place determining what is right and wrong for someone else's marriage.

Forcing ideas on others is a far cry from expressing your opinion of your idea. Let's not confuse those as the same thing.

From our exchanges in the past, we know that I tend to see gray where you see black and white. From the black and white perspective, we have your quote above. From the shades of gray perspective, I'll offer an example that fits with the times and is somewhat relevant to the topic:

Person X: "I think we should have a Constitutional amendment that prohibits gay marriage."

(note, that's just an example, not a topic we should discuss on the forum - cube food)

There is nothing wrong with letting people live their lives as they want but that does not mean they are free from the rules/laws of society. That is society "forcing" their ideas on others, people might not like that but that is life.

In a way, I agree with you on this... one of those societal rules is "MYOB", which is what I'm trying to politely point out.

Personally, I don't really have any strong opinion of you. I don't waste too much time on the forums so probably miss most of your posting. And as far as actually gaming with you, I happen to find myself in a group with you every once in awhile. You seem competent enough to quest with and I've never felt the need to make special note of you as being someone I'd like to group with more or someone I'd never want to group with again. Like I said - no strong opinion, one way or the other.

If there's one issue I might comment on, it's that sometimes I wish A&O had a vent channel. Get into a pug with you and a couple of your guildies and it's usually a half hour of everyone else having to listen to a completely innane conversation between you guys that no one else could find remotely interesting. That or you complaining about how much you hate someone else. Again, care factor=zero. It's not a big issue. I could be mistaken but I believe you guys are fairly young? That's not meant to be an underhanded insult. I'm just saying that it could account for the way you guys sometimes conduct yourselves.

YUPPER i must agree if you cant take the chat when you pug with them i must say drop group, and run to church to cleanse yourself. i myself think they go great with beer and have a great time anytime i run with them.

As most people, I enjoy the banter in a pug especially if it is witty or clever. However, in my experience, I've never seen a great deal of participation from anyone else when a couple of A&O guildies are blabbing away to each other about another guildie no one knows. Everyone might be forced to listen in on the conversation but that hardly makes them part if it or feel welcome to join in when (1) it makes little sense to people who have no background knowledge of what they are talking about and (2) it's usually about something too innane and uninteresting for anyone to bother with trying to join in.

I'd be willing to accept that perhaps it is just me but let's be honest here. Are you guys really so self absorbed to not notice that there are times when a couple of you have been going on and going about something and the 10 other people in the group have not got a collective word in in the last 15 minutes?
