not much love are given to the optionals in quests =\
can we make it so the optional exp are added to the base exp into the calculation for final exp at the end of the quest?

to make it easier for those of you that wants to avoid me in game, all my characters are in "Bladesworn Mercenaries"
I don't have a zerging problem.
I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.
The pathetic values of most optional XP is a large part of why zerging is so popular... XP per minute is significantly higher in most quests if you zerg it twice than if you methodically do all optionals once.
Suggestion to Turbine: Have new character slots open up automatically based on months since account start date.
Update: EU+Store = close enough. Thank you.
Its funny, when I joined the game in 2006 everyone insisted on doing all the optionals...break the breakables, get ransack on kills, now people look at you funny if you want to do that. Some get annoyed if you even stop to pick up collectables, some of which are actually useful now.
It also depends somewhat on the quest and on your group. For example, in the second (I think) Delera's quest, you can amass over an additional 1k experience for killing the optional dudes (I forget what they're called) and it doesn't take all that long - at least not if you've got somebody to drop firewalls or a ranger with FE: Undead and good weapons.
That is certainly more of the exception than the rule though. There are plenty of quests where an optional will yield something silly like 18 additional experience.
In ghost of a chance the optional is worth 800-1k exp depending on the level of group and difficutly
