    Default Who plays mod 8?

I came back for mod 8 10 days after release, and already i dont see any mod 8 LFM.
I see Vale quests, Vons, Titans, subt runs, GH quests...
    But no mod 8 quests...
Why? Quests like the Monastery are elite loot run material, the others are fun, and you do get Runes for your armor...

Anyways, i am interrested in running those. So, any guild/group of players plays mod 8 on a regular basis?

Pax - we have been running these a lot - but I do agree that you don't see much in the way of LFM's.

For a while we would post when we had an empty spot, but 90% of the time there would be no responses 10+ min later. Now we generally run shortmanned and post "in progress" just in case someone wants to play catch up; or leave the spot in case a guildie pops on.

At this point, personally I'm so frustrated with the buggy nature of Prey, that my enjoyment is declining quickly - but it's not 100% dead yet. PM sent.

Our guild does, however you won't see me in game for another week or so.......

We had LFM's up every night for four days after the Mod. ( Then I had to leave town & my guildies don't usually run their high level characters unless I'm home )

    Thumbs down Easy answre

I really hate to say it but one of the biggest reasons you dont see the lfm's is because the new mod has been a huge dissapointment. As much as I love this game and enjoy seeing new mod's come out I think I might not be around for the next mod. Alot of us older players wait months for the mods to drop and when they do you will see us on till our eyes burn of blood and we need to catch an hour or two of sleep so we can jump back on. However this mod made me go to bed and worry about finnishing it up another day.

This one was a huge dissapointment to me. Turbine dropped the ball on this one. What is there to keep us long time players in the game. We are waiting for the next big thing and we recieved pooh. Dont get me wrong I do like some of the mod 8 stuff but there was just not enough of it nor was there any good reward for doing it. Armor? Kinda neat but not impressed. The armor isn't anything that I'll work hard to get. It looks ugly and it looks all the same.

    Ideas for next mod:
    1. how about new monsters (not the same old ones with a name added to them)
    2. how about some named loot
    3. how about a raid with end chest rewards (not just regular chest)
    4. how about some content that takes a group effort to complete (most of the new stuff has already been soloed)
    5. how about balancing out the acid and electric spells to make them more competable against fire and cold. (It would be nice to see different caster builds but when fire and cold is much more effective than acid and electric then why would you gaimp yourself and not stay a fire build?)
    6. how about going back to earning the right to run a raid. (prereq's that you need to do in order to run the raid again)

There is alot more than could be added to this list but is there really a need? Will any of these suggestions even been taken into consideration or will DDO continue to take a back seat to other Turbine games?

I love this game but I'm loosing interset when I pop on only to talk to others.GIVE ME A REASON TO PLAY AGAIN TURBINE.

I understand it is small and such...
But i am surprise to see Rainbow elite LFMs (with th enew really bad and anoying darkness) and no runs for the new quests, who basically have better chests.
Also, i would still expect people to try and get new armors.

Maybe it's just me, but I haven't noticed any lack of groups for the refuge quests. In my experience, if anything the LFMs fill too fast! When I do have trouble getting friends to run it, it's because they are already in one of the quests. It's true that many guilds are running this with their friends or sticking to short-man at this point, but that's not everyone. If you're having trouble getting a group, maybe try starting your own? For all of the complaints on the forums, there are plenty of people on the server having a blast running the new content, looting lots of chests, and improving their armor. Many of the people re-running old content are trying to re-do their gear so that it works better with dragontouched.

Worst case, you could always send me a tell when I'm around and I'll try not to kill you too many times

I agree Rachna, this has been my experience. Groups I put up are filled almost as fast as I put it up. However, there arent that many LFMs up for several reasons... none of which are Turbine's fault. We did it to ourselves. Too many guilds early on stuck to guild-only runs, and it left the large majority of the player base feeling slighted. Another element is that these quests were meant to throw a curveball to the elitist builds/personalities in this game and they didnt like it. Nothing was more amusing to me than to watch two "elite sorcs" get all ****y because their firewalls and cone of colds did squat to the undead beholder... My wizard whipped out a simple magic missile and a force missile, they had to sit back and watch the show! Hilarious. I think Turbine made HUGE strides to enhance both the new player experience and made rerolling not a complete bore. It added MUCH NEEDED randomness to the equation. The reason 99.9% of the D&D PnP crowd never followed over to DDO was the lack of randomness. Turbine keeps making the game better in my opinion.

Yes Im a power gamer. But I play this game not ONLY for loot. I play it for the acquaintances and friendships Ive formed over the past few years. D&D is about the PEOPLE.

The people crying for loot will get ****y, stomp their feet, maybe even leave the game. But they almost always come back for more... once they realize this game is the best thing going since the introduction of Troglodyte bars.

Did the entire serie last night, and i really enjoyed the last quest, including the Sorjek fight.
I understand the frustration of non-evasion characters with this mod, but then many mobs hit hard, and only evasion + high HP characters are golden.

All 4 quests are nice and challenging.
Some players complain about lasts fights beeing hard, but considering the rest of the quests can be zerged under 2 minutes, a challenge at the end is ok.

As for the randomness of runes... think of it as the Shroud Backward.
Shroud = 20+ runs to get to craft what you want.
Sorjek = 1 run to craft, but probably 20+ to get exactly what you want...
