Default What I want for Festivult...

    Dear Festivult Jester,

My name is Fuzzybunny and I am writing this letter to thank you for the excellent festivult cookies and jelly cakes that you left me last year. Mom says that good little wizards say "thank you" before listing what they want for this year's Festivult (she is going to send this by House Orien Lightning post for me so I hope it gets to you in time). I have been a good wizard this year and ate all my Shroudies even when they were laggy and gross. I didn't cry when we had to put Xy'zzy to sleep because she got the rabies (Mom says that Xy'zzy is with the Undying Court now).

I wrote the list of what I want this year for festivult at the end of this letter. I hope you can fit all of it in your portable hole.

    Sincerely,
    Fuzzybunny of Doom

P.S. Why did you take the baby beholders away? I miss Blinky and Dad said I shouldn't play with the beholders in Xy'zzy's yard because they might have the rabies too.
P.P.S. Lappis read this letter and called me a dumb dumb head! He said that the Festivult Jester doesn't take baby beholders away and that it's the decision of the 'Devs'. If you bring Blinky back, I will put extra beholder cookies out for you.

List of Wizardly Wants (for Mod 9 or when the Cap goes to 20):

    - new metamagic feats so that wizard players can better utilise their bonus metamagic feats (plus it will make wizards more distinct from sorcerors and add flavour to the class). Suggested additions: Echoing Spell, Twin Ray, Twin Spell, Weapon Focus (Ray), Forceful Spell (from Dragon Magazine) and Arcane Strike
    - Tasha's Hideous Uncontrollable Laughter spell - because it's a cool spell and sure to bring lolz
    - Enhancements\Item effects that increase the effectiveness of higher level spells such as Horrid Wilting or Incediary Cloud
    - Bigby's Hands spells also because they're cool and sure to bring lolz
    - Evard's Black Tentacles - spiked octopus tentacles? yes pls.
    - Dimensional Lock\Seal - can we all agree that teleporting mobs aren't fun? let's give players a break (and reduce lag).
    - more crazy looking robes because when you've got it, you want to strut it

Other players, please feel free to expand and or comment on the above list.

    Dear Jester-

For Festivult, we would like the following:

The higher end bad guys to appreciate our fascinating songs. We've worked long and hard at training. We practice our lutes every day for 2 hours, just like our Moms tell us to. But we keep running into all these guys like the Frost Giants who don't seem impressed by our songs.

Strangely, we also keep running into guys who have names floating above their heads (sometimes red, sometimes orange, sometimes purple). They seem to not like our music, either. Now, we don't expect everyone to be a music afficianado, but Jester, dear, we can make some of them dance...so we know that they at least like music. Why do they not listen to our beautiful lute playing?

    Sincerely,

Eadaoin the Spellsinger, Onora the Warchanter, Aibhilin the Virtuoso, and Fionnghuala the Bard/Rogue.

    Dear Jester-

I hope I have been good this year as a sorceress.

    Since we have been faithful in performing our laggie shroudies;
For Festivult, we would like the following:

    1) Cookies that allows the trade in of THREE ingredients of one type (of the same size) to ONE ingredients of another type of the same size.

    2) Allow certain cookies to be trade in for certain missing components of crafting like pure water, silver flame hymnals, luminescent dusts, sparkling dusts or fragrant drowshood mushrooms.

    3) Implementation of the feats: energy substitution & energy admixture for arcane casters: wizard/sorceress/bard. If your little elves have more productivity might I suggest a little more levels 6 through 8 spells suggested in the new spells thread?

    4) Better arcane archer enhancement than ghost touched force imbued arrows? How about ghost touched Touch of Idiocy imbued arrows, ghost touched hold person/monster imbued arrows? Enervation imbued arrows? Archery needs help please!

    Dear Jester

    I would like for festivus

---more info about fighter prc enhancements (we've seen some of the pally ones after all, and it would shut up quite a bit of the fighter trolls)
--THF feats reexamined as mentioned by an earlier dev(afterall 3 twf feats give 2x the damage, while 3 thf feats give 30-40% only on some attacks)
--a big evil bunny ala monty python, and a holy hand grenade (quest item only ^^) or how about changing the Hounds skin to a bunny just for festivus

    happy holidays

Actually, this is a pretty good idea. Could some of the artificers of House Cannith or perhaps even magi of the 12 offer makeovers ? For a price ? I'm sure a few people wouldn't mind changing the look of their characters.

    A new hairstyle ? 1,000 plat
Remove that old scar ? 2,000 plat
Some eyebrow studs ? 500 plat
Feel a bit too pale to hang out with your friends ? Complete tanning session 10,000 plat

Or if you want to go really extreme, full transmogrification (features only - no sex or race changes). 100,000 plat
I'm sure the code and graphics is already there.. just need to create an interface.....

Talking All I need for Festivus...

    Most mighty of Festivus Jesters,

For Festivus I would definately like some more uber dwarven axes, and a way to sharpen the axes (repair permanent damage) I have - ye can't tell me that one of these blasted smithy's don't have a forge, anvil and wheel.

Lemme open up shop - I'll keep them weapons in tip top condition.

I have a few candy canes left over from last year, but more are always welcome, but is there something I can eat a little faster, when trying to use one in a pinch, I feel exposed and slightly embarassed by chomping through one when surrounded by troll bullies. *You'll get yours Gnarkill*

I hope I have been good enough to get other goodies as well... cousin Theologius says to stay away from the Potions of Wonder, apparently he had a misfortunate accident when drinking one in Xorian Cypher, something about 'Dis...ent...igrate', or 'Dis ain't great' or something...I wonder what that taste like?

I hope every one has a great Festivus, bring all my guildies good stuff too if they were good.

    See everyone in Stormreach...

Wasn't it Festivus the first year or was that just my imagination? Festivult a Festivus for the rest of us!

Default What melees want for Festivult...

    Dear Festivult Jester,

Hi. This is Fuzzybunny again but I am not writing to ask for more Festivult treats for myself. Smushybunny, my older brother, says that the Festivult Jester isn't real but I'm going to write a letter for him anyways because if he doesn't get Festivult treats he'll try to steal mine again. Smushybunny wants to be a barbarian when he grows up (stinky!) and told Mom and Dad last week and Mom gave Smushy the look she gives me when I cast Otto's Resistable dance on Muffins (our kitty). Dad said "good choice, one less college tuition I have to pay for" and then Mom gave Dad the same look. We didn't get any ice cream that night.

I have to go now because special cousin Coyle got lost again and we have to help Aunt June find him. (Please bring a Tome of Clear Thought for special cousin Coyle because then he can ride the schoolbus with me and not have to ride the shortbus.)

    Sincerely,
    Fuzzybunny of Doom

List of things for Smushybunny (or melee characters in general):
    - Eberron racial fighting styles - these feats are some of the most distinctive and well-designed elements of the Eberron Campaign and would open up new avenues of tactics for melees
    - e.g. Drow Scorpion Warrior (from Secrets of Xen'drik) - allows special attacks when wielding drow racial
    weapons
    - more racial weapons! dwarven axe is nice but let's not give dorfs nice axes just because they are the stinkiest. where are the Drow Scorpion Chains? or Halfling (Talenta) Tangat? or the Elven (Valenar) double scimitar?
    - racial weapons that make sense: Can I see a show of hands for drow players who actually use shurikens? Can I see a show of hands for ANYONE who actually uses shurikens? yeah... that's what I thought. let's make shurikens the same as repeaters and have the monks and drow fire off 3 at a time
    - this one is a tall order: Eberron introduced us to the living construct and the Warforged race remains one of the distinguishing features of the campaign (and this game). Eberron sourcebooks often feature Warforged Components (equipment for warforged which are "attached" and come with great benefits and great cost) but DDO seems to relegate WF to the role of robotanks... Flashy graphics do not a great MMO make. An immersive world with interesting game mechanics are much more of an allure.
    - in the same vein as the above point, Eberron also strongly features the theme of madness and corruption. Daelkyr creations are featured in DDO but little backstory is provided and our equipment list is sadly lacking in Xoriat-inspired goodies. Let's add Symbionts to the game. We've got one already (from VoN4), why not add more?

Thanks for the replies everyone. Keep them coming!
