So I see another thread about DDO articles being turned into a whine fest instead of "hey more DDO exposure great news".


So for those who thrive on negativity here's a few more negative things that will make you happy.


The economy is starting to rise but overall is not in good shape in the USA.

You don't get the recognition at work that you should for your "uber" contributions.

Your child/spouse/significant other doesn't appreciate you like you should.

You stubbed your toe today.

The sun came out and reminded you your stuck at work so what's the point.

It's raining which makes an already bad day at work worse.

You didn't get your choice of +3 tomes on your 20th, 40th, 60th runs last night.

And even though you want to deny it everything, you, your car, your pets even this game will eventually pass away.

Actually I have made several constructive posts as well as started constructive threads and nobody seemed to care, so I started this thread. I find it funny you mention constructive, have you looked at how many of these so called "constructive" posts are actually just whiny complaint threads? Anyway this way those who cannot find the positive in anything can come in here and feel relief over how bad everything is and maybe find a few more things to be negative about. And I stand by what I said, instead of picking apart the information given in these articles and acting like it's all doom and gloom be happy DDO is getting some exposure.

You never know when another public service will be provided by KK industries so just keep your eyes open.

I don't mind that people complain; heck, I complain from time to time too.

But...for the love of all that's holy...and I don't care how good you are, and/or how much you're needed to complete...*don't* become Mr Microphone during a quest and use it to ***** for the entire quest.

i see alot of complaints and ive complained many times myself but i believe that these people love this game and want it to succeed, the time to complain about something in a future update is before the update goes live that way maybe some things can be changed before hand. you know me ive been here since the begining ive watched many people leave the game because of turbines mistakes and dont want to see many more leave. exposure is great i hope its not to little to late. see ya akla

Ok don't get me wrong, I believe there are things that could be better and I honestly agree that people should voice what they think is wrong with the game, but attacking a magazine article that gives this game they claim to love exposure to more people is counter productive. This thread was not started with any malice BTW it was intended as more of a light hearted poke at negative nellies, and admittedly I have been known to be one from time to time and a copuple of the things I listed were actually directed at me.

People utilize these forums, and other such public formats, to express their opinions. Some more erudite, some more visceral, but <mostly> all valid expressions of their beliefs. Trolls are a different matter entirely as they tend to intentionally choose a side of an argument wanting to widen the disparity of opinion and increase the chaos. Admittedly fun sometimes, but not the object herein.

We all know about opinions; good, bad, or indifferent there they are. Why, I wonder, is it not acceptable to express a negative opinion? Call it a comment, call it a whine, call it whatever you want; it's a valid opinion and deserves the right to be expressed. The subject, right or wrong, can certainly be a point of debate. However, the expression of the opinion, whether you agree or not, should be respected.

Is it just that the opinion does not meet another's expectation of what is acceptible, and therefore draws the ire of he/she who finds it somehow offensive? Not a question easily answered, as we all view each situation through our own rose-colored glasses and construct a defense for our personal position(s). And, this is the kicker, that opinion is just as valid as the original (offensive) opinion! So, do we, by the action of merely expressing an opinion on a stetement of opinion, open ourselves to exaination of our own motives and, potentially, point out our own sanctimoniousness?

The point is this: an opposing opinion, stated in whatever format presented, cannot draw negative comment on the statement of the opinion itself without impressing a certain hypocrisy on he or she "complaining about the complainer".

IMO...lol.
