So far, Sergod wins the thread, as his reputation was already flatlined. The people who won't run with him still won't and the people who do already know his personality. By acting just as aggressively towards him, the Harper's have probably gone down in my estimation. It really isn't hard to walk away from these types of conflicts.

I don't have a horse in this derby, as Sergod has migrated on and off my squelch list over the years (it is currently off, and I ran a solid Sorjak run with him over the weekend) and I don't frequently run with the Harpers (never really cared for the sneak hump thing)

Three points:

1) Don't use someone elses Vent without their permission under any circumstance. Just don't. At best, it is completely unprofessional. At worse, it is a crime. If you leave a guild, just delete the Vent information. To me that seemed to be the most egregious bad act here.

2) Don't threaten someone with physical violence over a video game. If something in a video game makes you mad enough to beat someone up, that something is hardly you biggest problem. You need anger management.

3) All this drama over easily farmed items and components? Consider it like a breakup. If I could get over the numerous jackets, TVs, and other property I've lost during breakups, you all should be able to get over the loss of some dragon scales, some relics, and some larges.

Finally, there are no winners in these feuds - only losers.

It was fine until he started contacting various Harpers that don't have any knowledge of him. If a Harper is unfortunate enough to end up in a PUG with him, he starts spouting off his garbage.

I have updated our guild message to state that anybody contacted by him is to not talk to, or debate with him, but rather just ignore him.

This drama was brought to us. We ignored it for WEEKS. He won't let it go, and it's affecting the members of our guild in a negative way. That I take exception to. To date, I have stayed out of it. I could continue to ignore it. Some would say that's the right thing to do. It is not. I have explicitly explained to Sergad, why he receives the attention he does. He probably doesn't care, but us not caring doesn't make us any better. Apathy on both ends doesn't do anybody any good.

For the record, the Vent channel was used by "Sheelagh" in an attempt to get this all cleared up on day one. We offered to pay just about anything they wanted to get it over with. They just keep piling on one thing after another. They want to be offended, and feel slighted.

I've effectively ended this on my end with the guild. I have no control over individual guild members, but at least they all know there's a common stance with Sergad.
