I saw LFMs up on Risia that insinuated they were trying out the new high-level content. Perhaps it meant something else then...
Notice I said *some* players. There's a difference between players that are willing to help others out and give friendly advice - something I definitely try to do when I know there's a new person in the party, especially since I've been playing more lowbies lately and I know most quests up to Gianthold level much better than, for example, Vale or Orchard stuff (although 5-min Vol runs are always fun ) - and players that make you feel like a burden to the party when you ask questions. I had a string of these types of parties a while back, but as I get more confident in high-level content these things bother me less. But don't get me wrong, there are a lot of great players on Ghallanda and I feel like I've made several in-game friends over the last 6 months. 98% of the time I'm in groups that are fun and laid-back but efficient, well-run groups. And if we wipe, no biggie."Quite frankly I'm disappointed that some people on our laid-back server are showing their "elitism", so to say..."
*** is that stereotyping not only the good players but the whole server come on.
I have always believed that Ghalanda was the best server.. Reasons are simple: we have the best population with a wide variety of player types. Is that stereotyping too? Maybe but its not claiming for some specific reason so I don't think so.
Believe me Ben, you're a lot like Jay in many ways, except you say on the mike what he's saying off the mike, LOL. So how could I hate u? I know you ask if you need something, why else would I tease you for being so needy? I agree it is a problem when someone makes it look like they know how to get somewhere and they really don't, I know that 9 times out of 10 someone would hang back to help them find the way. But it's probably the same mentality I'm talking about here, the "I don't want to bother anyone, and I *kinda* know the way, so I'll figure it out hopefully" mindset, that holds a lot of people back. Not saying it's a good excuse, but it is what it is.Trust me I hate soloing you out but I know you and am in your guild so I am hoping that bond keeps yet another from Blacklisting me. That said to every one that thinks this way.... YOUR WRONG. Who cares if you inconvenience some one a little to make things smother and easier. I never feel like I inconvenience a cleric by asking for a heal, I never feel like I inconvenience Bard for asking for a Buff, I never feel like I inconvenience Caster for a fire wall. Why, because that's there Role. Its what they made the Toon for. Its who they are playing. I feel like I inconvenience myself when I have to ask for the things players are made for. What does this have to do with your comment here is what... I ask "CAN YOU MAKE IT TO THE QUEST". You say "YES". I say again to affirm it "DO YOU NEED HELP". Your response "NO". All I am saying is if you need some one to hold your hand say as pathetically as you can muster "I NEED HELP". I say it all the time and I don't think it makes me a bad player just a wise one.
again a ton more I can comment on this.
What the eff, I'll probably end up putting up a "come get lost in new content with me and die a lot" LFM one of these days, LOL.
