    Default AH Items

Sunblades and dwarven throwers showing up for 350-500kpp buyout while they drop like candy in the sub. Are these people serious?

Ah its just those lovely plat farmers taking all the loot again.

If ya buy one for that price or any item with a price tag like that, well then the one who buys it is a complete NOOOOOB

I refuse to pay any ridiculous price no matter what the item is.

The loot is out there people, just gotta find it.

Aint that the aim of the game after all ?????

Oh and Turbine, if ya gonna make quests harder e.g. the Reaver, at least make the cr**py loot better

no it's plat farmers.....no one else is that overly persistant...look at all the goods that are seriously over prices and never seem to come down in cost...those are in my opinion plat farmers...and if you look at all the goods that fit that discription you get an idea of just how many players work for or are plat farmers....

I wonder about that too. A necklace of +1 intimidation for 10k? I'm new and still auctioneering at lvls 1-5. Most the stuff I see is ALL listed at 10k initial. So, its got to be the devs or some program seeding the auction house with junk all listed at 10k? Feels like a bot, looks like a bot...

10kpp or 10kgp? If it's 10kgp, that's pocket change to anyone with a capped toon. And anyone doing a reroll that wants to twink their new toon will pay it. If it's 10kpp, then someone is hoping a chronic reroller wants to completely twink even a complete noob. They probably won't get it.

The AH is the ultimate proving ground that P.T. Barnum was right about the birthrate.

    Thumbs up

Oh no pic on that one.

Also, who wants to see a pic of P.T. Barnum?

I posted a Dwarven Thrower on the AH on Sunday for 375k gold and it sold in less than 12 hours. And, no, my character's name is not Asdfjfl.

Being new to the game I am REALLY surprised at the AH...I don't get it...there doesn't seem to be much lower level stuff...and what's there is WAY outta my reach. I'm still getting oriented to DDO, but I'm not sure if I'm even going to bother looking at the AH anymore. Maybe I'm missing something?

    /signed.

I still refuse to use the AH when I have friends that can use the stuff I have extras of and so what if I don't have any WOP rapiers... I still manage to kill enough mobs to somehow make it through to cap many toons.

People are paying millions of plat for Devil Scales to upgrade Green steel items and then they go into quests and realize those weapons are not the best weapons in many situations.

People wonder why I give away larges like candy... Umm... who cares, you can't take it with ya when you leave the game and as long as I have enough items to manage a decent contribution on my team and enough cash to buy a few heal and haste pots, I'm good.

Besides... I get way more in return when I give away a large ingredient to a friend in need, then the plat you can get on the AH, like a bunch of Major pots or Mithral FP that actually looks cool from people like Sargoth when I am in need. Let's see... friends and gear that you can actually use vs. some artificial cash? Hmmm...

    argh.

Many people do not list low level loot because you can only list a limited number of items at a time. Therefore, most lower level stuff is vendored and the good stuff listed. Occasionally, you'll see some low level items that have very high demand (like muckbane, or ring of feather falling) on the AH, but the prices are steep.

Honestly though, the gear from the new Korthos Island is good enough that gearing in the AH is really pointless, especially since the first five levels are so fast to blow through, then your starter gear is obsolete.

The only time I check auction hall on lower level characters is when I need a specific item. I like to get fearsome robes for my casters, some kind of feather falling item as soon as possible, and a few other things.
