    Cool New intimidate code

It's been reported that there is a greater penalty due to size as of mod8 (as much as -12 on Hound with a medium sized intimidater). This seems to put intimidate back into the Warforgeds' court.

    Default Halflings?

If a halfling is trying to intimidate, and the mosters are laughing at the halfling, wouldn't the halfling still hold agro?

It's always been -12 from Xyzzy. Graphically you might not think Xyzzy is bigger than Arraetrikos, but she is.

Warforged are not better at intimidate than other races: they are worse (aside from halfling). In addition to not being any larger than a human, they have less charisma, fewer free feats, and are ineligible for Deneith dragonmarks.

Are you telling me that Intimitanks start off with 17 or 18 CHA? While possible, it seems more probably they're starting off with 15 or 16, in which case when it comes to Intimidate they're on equal footing with warforged.

This is true and unfortunate. They really should be counted as larger that humans, if not in size than at least in weight ya

I would like to confirm as a medium intimidator that I always had a -12 pen on the Hound.

There's basically no toon in the game that has done 100% intimidate on the hound statistically.

Not more than a Dwarf.. But thuis whole thread is moot anyway since Nothing changed in Intim. and Warforged simply do not have a way to be inherantly better than any other race anyway

I used to floor the check on normal, pre-Mod 8. Not tonight, however, the check is definitely much higher.

Ahh, I see. I guess what they did then was correctly apply the proper intimidate check or increase the value needed. Regardless, all I know is I used to floor this check on normal with a 1, now I'm only at 50/50 with the same skill.

That is only if the W/F has sacrificed significantly more stat points to keep up. A human who pays for a 16 char pays less than a WF who is in effect paying for an 18 stat and that would really hurt. So while the potential is there, practically it isn't. Also though not having an inimitank myself, I would have thought that charisma would have been lower, though this would reduce the difference in cost for char the human is still out in front.

Size and weight are two completely different measurements. The size, meaning space or volume occupied, of 100 pounds of feathers is significantly larger than 100 pounds of lead yet the weight is exactly the same. Granted I have no interest in getting hit by either. In this case I'd say as rendered in the game a WF is both bigger (size) and heavier (weight) relative to a human and should not suffer the same penalty.
