You need to install .NET 1.1 SP1

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

You need the above file to play DDO. You can have more then one .net version installed at the same time. Vista did not come with .net 1.1 so you must instal it.

bah still no go, installed the .net but somehow ddo installer does not recognise it and the program is not fully installed. tried launching it with admin rights it tells me to disable admin rights. disabled admin rights it tells me no .net v1.1.4322

    Default This is no guarantee

I *THINK* the issue is the DDO was partially installed when this mess happened. As in the hotfix.

Try completely removing the ddo client, redownloading the most current ddo client, rerunning the 1.1 NET sp (if need be the "special" way in the KB article" and reinstal the mes...err, ddo client.

I'd be even odds if I bet somewhere dx10 was to blame with this somewhow

Edit: Speaking of, a system restore was JUST needed to fix the last person's Dx10 issue.....may this not need the same.

Be careful what you wish for, what you say is best; for sometimes what you seek is found, not at the end of the quest.
