Can't update to mod8

For some reason, my game launcher isnt working.

I get a green checkmark beside:

Connect
Examine Programs
Update Programs
Examine Game Data

But when it gets to Update Game Data, nothing downloads, and I get the red X with an error "The connection with the server has been reset" and it tries again 60 seconds later. And again. And again again again gain...

Any thoughts?

ditto, have tried the other suggestions mentioned in other posts

clean boot

new connection

no antiV or Internet prot


all to no avail, still getting header http error

Update:

Well with the hotfix, the progra files updated again, but the game data didnt as before :/

Weird thing is my home computer running the same operating system and antivirus updated just fine. Im hoping its the network I'm on so I can update when I get home.

i am getting this same problem also. this sucks and it seems like turbine isnt repling... well I have been around since launch please dont make me leave. i love the game (DDO OCD some would say. But I will not purchase another computer because of your update

Go to run-->type cmd--> type ipconfig /flushdns

post back, i'll check in today with ways to clear stuff out of your computer, you need to make it "forget" where the old update site is, sometimes computers don't release stuff when they should.

C:\> net stop dnscache
C:\> net start dnscache

That works as well.. if you have issues with using the first one in vista
